You should have your daughter walk with you and you should also have your father walk with you.
I know that it is your wedding, but I think that your father will feel bad if he can't give "his little girl" away.

Sorry to tell you this but you are very wrong. You really should ask your Father to walk you down the isle and it is like you are disregarding him as your Father. Why can't you have your daughter be in the bridal party instead? Just because you are marrying her Father, doesn't mean you have to have her walk you down the isle. If you really want the advice you seek, then please don't insult and hurt your Father. Give your daughter another place in your wedding..I don't know her age, if she is very young she could be a flower girl, if she is a teen, she could be a Jr. bridesmaid, if she is an adult she could be your Maid of Honor. So the answer is No..don't hurt your Father and Mother on this important occasion in your life.

Ask you mom and dad to lunch and explian why you choose to ask your daughter to walk you down the aisle. Explain to them that this is the best way you thought for her to really feel involved in the new family. Or maybe if they are super pissed off I would ask you dad to give a speech or poem at the wedding explaining why he loves you and how he is happy that the new family is working. I would definitely keep your daughter super involved in the wedding.

Why could they both walk you down the aisle? Your daughter on one side and your father on the other, like a present and past kind of thing? It would be different and would acknowledge your parents in raising you just like you are doing now.

Well, because of your situation, there is no "need" to have your father give you away. That only happens when a girl is leaving her parents' home to be with her husband. And, you've been really very busy since then, so it's not appropriate anyway.
Actually, your daughter shouldn't be doing it. You should be walking alone, or walking in with your guy.

How about if your Dad walks you down the aisle and your daughter walks your husband to be down the aisle - or you could have your daughter be your maid of honor

The reason your father is mad because you are his little girl and always will be and it is every father's dream to walk his little girl down the aisle.

Your dad's feelings have been hurt. How about your daughter being a junior bridesmaid or how about both dad and daughter walk you down the isle. Its your wedding, you can have two people walk you down the isle. Is mom and dad contributing to the expense of this wedding? Do you love your dad enough to care how he feels? I loved my dad enough I would never have insulted him by not having him walk me down the isle.

Father should give you away, and your daughter should accompany you down the isle on your other side, as your flower girl. That will make everyone happy.

You could have both, that's always an option. But at the same time, if you do not want your father to do it for whatever reason, that is still your choice to make & I feel that it should be respected. Good luck.
