Did anyone hear the Fifth Trumpet sound during the first gulf war when Saddam lit oil wells?
Prior to the first Gulf war I discovered a large underworld Satanic organization in my home town. I started to tell people about what I discovered, this was the beginning of the rest of my life! Soon I was followed and watched, and was receiving verbal death threats against myself and family members. This organization forces ans seduces its victims into playing occult games and practices, thus placing them into spiritual bondage to witch craft/Demonic forces. Then they are forced to go threw a transcendental meditation ceremony with aid of Witchcraft this is how the Spiritual mark of the Beast is acquired. I was attacked three times by a Demon at night during the war when said oil wells were lit on fire. The third time attacked I commanded the demon to leave in the name of Jesus. This is when this Demon took his Tail placed it on my left hand and sent waves of fire threw my soul. No Lie! Locust=Scorpion demons first woe has past. Beware of Secret Society's.

There is a lot of misinformation here. It would really depend on the Communion practices of the host congregations Synod. I am not familiar with the AML as a Lutheran Church body.

Yes, a Missouri Synod Lutheran can take communion in all other LCMS churches and ELCA as well, but the Wisconsin synod I'm not so sure about. However, it does depend how long "a long time" is. If you're in doubt about the theology of the church you want to commune at, you'd best find out first. In any case, you should talk to the pastor. I know that most LCMS churches require this (ELCA generally does not).
Also, if you want to join the church, you should know what synod it is. The synods are all basically the same, but they range in their belief systems. From most conservative to most liberal we have Wisconsin, LCMS, and then ELCA. Make sure that the synod you're attending is right for your beliefs.

The best way to find this out is to ask the pastor of the new congregation. As other posters have noted, in some churches it's okay, but in others its not.
Communion implies a fellowship -- between you & God, between the body/blood and bread/wine, and between you & the other members with whom you are communing. How do you know (if you don't even know which denomination it is) if you really are in fellowship with these people and if they really confess the same doctrine as you do?
So, talk to the pastor, see what the church teaches, and see if it is somewhere that you would like to make into your new church home. Then, celebrate your unity with your fellow parishoners by communing with them.

My parents are ELCA pastors and they would heartily invite you to join them in taking communion. MS don't let women in the pulpit and that is something the ELCA allows and has no issues with. If you have no personal issue with this then you should go to any lutheran church and receive the sacrament.

In our ELCA church the pastor doesn't care who takes communion, as long as they believe "That Jesus is present at the service."

The LCMS folks would tell you "no". If you like the new place, go, talk to the Pastor and receive.
You Lutherans are worse than us sometimes with your "alphabet soup" of denominations. ;-D

I would believe that taking communion would be between Jesus and you, not a church Hierarchy.
If you want the truth. . . Ask a Pagan.
