I love to read and would love to buy a big book full of bedtime stories and nursery rhymes to read to my two month old daughter every day.
I am hoping by reading to her she will also grow fond of reading and be able to have the wonderful imagination that I had.
I'd rather get her one big book full of stories then a few little ones because although she does have a lot of books right now with single stories, we live in a small apartment so it would just be easier to keep track of if I just bought one big book instead.
Thank you very much!

Oh I don't mind reading these stories to her, I would enjoy reading those to her more then I would a newspaper lol.
I know she just wants to hear the sound of my voice but if I can read to her and give her wonderful things to dream about then it will make me happy to know that she is having sweet dreams.

again lol I understand she wont care what I read to her but I really want to read bedtime stories to her. I don't care about newspapers and what not lol.
Another reason I am asking is because I want to be able to read from the childrens book everynight and when it would be nice for her to have it when she is older.

i have seen at a lot of big books filled with nursery rhymes in them, and short stories, you could just go to your local library and some from there they Have a lot if space is limited, or go to use books stores, garage sales ect, they also have a big book filled different types of stories, like rhyming, nursery rhymes and other good goo fey ones. reading to your child is great not only is it a great way to bond with your child, but they learn so much, my son will be three next month, and he knows haw to count to 20, his abc, all kinds of stuff about animals, and trucks, nature, space, ect and i believe most of it comes from me reading to him ever since well since he was still in my belly, he loves books and asks me to read to him through out the day he also can remember a short book two times after me reading to him and will read me the book by memory, anyway good job and keep the reading up it does pay off, but as your little one grows try to read a verity of books to her. hope i was of help

Actually, you are doing a wonderful thing starting to read this early! Experts suggest to read even before then -- in the womb! I did this and one of my daughter's favorites is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" and yes, even at a few mons. you can tell it's their fave b/c she would look at the pics & sometimes, w/o the book, I would say the words and she would smile. Brown Bear is great b/c it has one picture per page(s) and is repetitive.

She will love whatever you choose. At this age, it is more about listening to your voice and being in your arms than the story anyways. I don't know of any really great infant collections, but remember those Shel Silverstein poetry books? I think those are great for kids of all ages. Good luck and happy reading!

I've found that reading with a infant with a soothing voice - especially if you make it a routine (same book nightly) - can really relax them and send them to sleep happy - it can even become the routine for years.
Goodnight Moon (Margaret Brown) is a terrific one - my toddler has loved it since infancy and it calms her down.
Even better for us has been "I Love You Forever" - it's a sweet story, and we sing the little song from the book nightly to our three kids - and the 7- and 9-year-olds sing it back to us!
Enjoy!!!

at 2 months they love to hear your voice no matter what you are saying. If you dont find a BIG book you can always read whatever current book you are reading outloud, Thats what I did and at 16 months my daughter loves to (pretend) she is reading anything around the house
Congrats on your new baby too

arent you sweet. look for anything "sandra boynton" she is my favorite little kids author. they come in board books so they are small but you might be able to find a few books in one. she is really fun to read and your baby will appreciate when she is 2 or 3 also. my 6 yr.old still likes them when i read to my 11 mon. old! we have the complete works of beatrix potter(peter rabbit's author) also, but i find it a little boring. with a 2 month u can read one of your books out loud and she wont know the difference! you could also go to a bookstore and ask the person who works in the childrens section for suggestions or go to the library and look around. enjoy your time with her!

It's possible to invest a lot of time and money looking for ways to show your children how to see and boost their examining skills. Is difficult to teach a small child how to see, and also alluring them to see is challenging in itself. However it doesn't need to be this way because you got the help of the program https://tr.im/sHWdH , Children Learning Reading program.
With Children Learning Reading you will show your child how to separate your lives appears and break words in to phonemes, an essential point as soon as your kid is merely understanding how to spell.
The studying process from Children Learning Reading program makes it easy for children to learn rapidly and precisely, from simple words to sentences until they understand to see stories.
