Hi, I appreciate your opinion on this matter. Sometimes we just don't realize what good times we are having at the moment until the inevitable change occurs. I guess this all goes back to living in the moment. I know it is easy to say but to actually do it is difficult, what with the changing and hustling world we live in. "They" say meditation, putting into your thoughts only positive thinking, being at peace with your God, all contribute to a connectedness to our creation. But dang, I don't really know if I have ever really felt it. I don't think I have and that is sad.....sort of. I feel I have potential though and I am still on my journey. Have any of you had that moment of clarity where you actually know who you are? Please let me know, if you wouldn't mind sharing it

In order to experience this connection you need your self realization. After your self realization you will be able to feel the inner peace and joy from your meditations and every day life and it will help you to live in the moment. You will become aware of who you are and the state of your subtle system helping you to become your own master. Visit http://www.sahajayoga.org/ to experience your self realization and learn more. These moments of clarity will occur all the time for you when you realize that you are not this mind, body, ego or conditionings but something which is eternal - the spirit. Your spirit just wants to connect with the divine and experience the joy and bliss of every day life. Talking about this is just words - you need to experience it.

When a person is working 40-60 hour weeks and keeping up on his/her other responbilities, it is very difficult to get connected to anything.

I think for myself, my most significant moment of clarity came this winter.

I have been volunteering at the Humane Society where I live 3 nights a week. We had a cat that had been there since the beginning of my time, and his stay was extending out a couple of months.

One of my duties is to be a "cat socializer". So I play with the cats, and would always take "Donny" into the play room. After a while, he seemed like my cat. I always felt depressed that he was such a special cat, but nobody would take him. Not young enough, not cute enough, etc.

Then an elderly lady came in one night and I happened to be there, I spoke with her and encouraged her to take a look at Donny. She immediately connected with him, and three days later took him home.

How much did my being there matter, I really don't know. I do know it actually felt significant. Those are the kind of moments that bring any semblance of clarity I have in my life to me.

This is the condition of a man who is seeking God. But now you must look honestly at yourself. Perhaps you already have, having come to the conclusion that there is no real peace or meaningful change for the better. This is the human condition, we are unable to change ourselves really, there is always the potential of reversion. Well here I am, one beggar telling another where to find bread. I don't know if you have considered Jesus before, but He has the answer you are looking for, not religion, but life the way God intends. The battle is already half won, seeing you can see your lack. What you lack, He will provide. He has done it in my life, and He will do it for you too. I know that a lot of "Christians" do not set a good example, but Jesus is the example we are to follow, He is the One that we should look to, not others. For all the bad examples, there are many good examples. Finally, not to disrespect anyone, but God is one, there is no other. I understand that this is not a politically correct statement, but the truth is hardly ever that way. There is truth, and if one thing is true, then nothing else can be. Truth is by definition exclusive, and Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Godspeed to you in your search.

What I can tell you has worked for me but thats just my input.

1. Yes i still get caught up in the moment that will never stop, but I can however bring myself back to reality in the moment by examining what is really happining. I try this by listinign a lot more than I speak. Words sometimes if we don't know how to say them sometimes get complicated. We tend to say someting we may regret befor we can stop ourselves from saying them. so if you listen more than you speak you can solve this little problem, even if what you are hearing offends you, just don't say it, this just complicates the matter even more.

2. Next simplify your life. Take away the things you think you'll miss but once there gone you'll ask yourself why did I ever wast my precious time on these silly things ie: excessive TV watching & gaming, You get the idea just make your own list of stuff you can cut back on and just enjoy life experiences with your family. ie: Camping, hiking, the zoo, anything to get yourselves together, make your list count.

3. Meditation never worked for me eather and I can't find too many that it does work for. Just sit down in a nice quiet aera,or time of day that you cand spen a half hour to read your bible. Now that you have time to of course by cutting back on those time wasters. Or get into a bible study groupe, a small one of course, big ones never work and people tend to get unsatisified with too many opinions floating around. small ones tend to "listen to each other".

4. You do have the potencial to do great things, but only through the spirit of God. Just pray for those moments you need Him most, even if others are near just say a silent prayer. Never doubt the power of prayer.

5. Finally I've been in that same boat your in and you don't know if your going backwards or fowards. Only by the things I have told you have I found my true path wich God has led me to. He will lead you to yours just have faith. Even if you think your doing it the wrong way just keep going.

6. oh and one more thing. DON'T give in to selfishness it is the one thing you'll find that leads you back to frustration where you may be at right now. It's a vicious cycle.

God Bless

If you have trouble meditating, I would suggest contacting a hypnotherapist. They can help with this.

I have also had luck with Yoga, but it sometimes helps just to sit in nature and feel the world around you. Close your eyes and concentrate on just hearing the sounds around you, or sit and look, just look, at the grass and the trees and the birds and the flower over there... You don't have to feel a oneness with any 'god' to feel a oneness with this planet that we are on. There is energy in every creature, plant, and even in the soil, and this energy is all connected. YOU are part of this energy. Feel that and you feel all the enlightenment that you really need to.

no, but I'll tell you about my "spiritual" journey. I was raised Luthern. I explored a lot of other religions before I became an agnostic. When I asked questions I was told "Be quiet! You're a woman!" or if you are questioning things you lack faith. The eastern religions made the most sense to me. Hope this helps.

It's a fast world, and that's why you will always feel out number as you move closer to the Lord, because most people are to busy to slow down and reflect on him, to meditate, spend time with God. I know when I am truly connecting with God, it's when I feel God's presence, Jesus word, or the Holy spirit fill me.

The Bible says God speaking.... When you search for me with all your heart, you will find me

It is only through a relationship with Jesus Christ can you be whole. You were created by God for God.

For I know the plans I have for you says God, plans for good and not for evil, plans to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29 v 11

Jesus Christ wants to meet with you today!
He wants to save you from sin.
He wants to make you a new creation - its called "being born again". The Christian life is the most exciting life....I have been a Christian now for over 37 years.

This is the essence of the Gospel.

You can be completely cleansed and forgiven when you admit your sin and your wrongdoing and turn to Jesus Christ personally to save you, for Him to become Your Lord and friend.

Right now, you are morally bankrupt before God, because of your many failures. It's only Jesus that is perfect in every way.

When you turn to Him, He will fill that void in your life with all the richness of what He is worth.

The Bible says that God commands all men everywhere to repent. Do you think that includes you?

Jesus said: Come unto me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. - Do you think that includes you?

Put your confidence in Jesus Christ today. Come to Him in prayer, asking Him to deal with that burden of sin and guilt, and He will forgive you and cleanse you - you will be included.

If you call on Him now - you are included.

no i would never forget if anyone wrote a poem about me most girls wont admit it but we like it when a guy gives us that kind of attention. most times we don't really care who it is that's writing the poem we are flattered. we obviously would prefer if we liked the person writing the poem. but generally i think that a girl would never forget what you did for her no matter who you are and if your friends or not. but of course the poem would have to be sweet and if you re-sighted it to her it would mean even more to her. if she wanted to remember it she would. if she had a copy of it she could look back on it and remember who it was that wrote it for her. but of course the poem would have

You're one of the few people honest enough to admit. Most sit around waiting, silently hating themselves for not feeling it. When they see other people who can, they hate them too.

If your religion gives you nothing, why have it?

Embrace Reason and throw off Religion, you'll be better for it.
