Lust is any intense desire or craving for self gratification. Lust can mean strictly sexual lust, although it is also common to speak of a "lust for life", "lust for blood (bloodlust for short)", or a "lust for power" or other goals.

As a moral term, lust implies a sexual desire for its own sake, an erotic arousal and wish, or intense physical or sexual attraction or craving. It is a sin in some religions such as Christianity when it is an excess or inappropriately directed sexual desire (e.g., non-procreative, unsanctioned, or egocentric sexual desire), and is one of the seven deadly sins, as a sin of excess. The Greek word which translates as lust is epithymia (επιθυμια), which also is translated into English as "to covet".

a perfectly natural and normal human emotion or desire. Embrace it and enjoy it.. I mean how great is it when you have lusted after someone for ages and finally you get it on?? Average 75 years on this earth, wake up, smell the coffee and realise there is so much out there to enjoy, let go of the guilt and enjoy your life - as long as you don't hurt anyone in the process.
And blimey, the Greatseeker, how gutted are you gonna be when the end comes and you slip away into utter nothingness. Wow, hun, thats gonna be a major fall!!

don't listen to no one on this one but me, that is Christians and non-Christians. The lord our God says there is no marriages in heaven, not to desire the flesh of THIS WORLD. the father says SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD(for a wife) and all his righteousness. Everyone is in a spirit not of Gods that causes you to be attracted to one another, called lust. This evil spirit u walk in, so do I so far, lets u be attractive to the opposite sex. Whats wrong with that u say, The devil shows u the wisdom what u call is beautiful, or handsome and put it on many. God is a holy God, and would not create sexual wisdom and put it on many people. It says U must be married in order for God to bless it, that is just a cover up God gave and excepted Lust. God says a wife FROM HIM is a GOOD THING, anything your way is bad. Proverbs (the book of wisdom) 30:18-19 says we do not understand how to love a woman. Now Solomon was the wisest man God created, witch mean u r stupid compared to him. so if he knows know wisdom of love, neither will u, But the devil will deceive u and u will get married, or not and lose your sole. God has another way seek his face for a lover not of the flesh, but of the spirit. This wisdom is give to u by virgin seeking Gods face for many many yrs on it. Listen to what the world says about being a virgin, the devil is getting everyone to lose it quickly, he is taking something from u, a treasure. or get married quickly. But u will call me crazy, for u r blind and I cannot seem to make anyone see.

Lust is a strong desire for something. It may or may not be sinful lust. For instance it isn't a sin to "lust" to be more like Jesus each day of your life.

Passion. Desire. Sexual attraction.

It's commonly used to mean an attraction that's ONLY physical and sexual. But lust can accompany true love.

And when that happens, life is beautiful.

Lust is when you are attracted to someone, only because of their looks ; nothing more.

Lust is wanting something only for yourself. You only wish to gain or accomplish something. Lust can be positive or pessimistic, depending on how you attribute it and to who.

Hi Bart,

Lust is covetousness.

Proverbs 6v
27Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? 28Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned? 29So he that goeth in to his neighbour’s wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

Romans 7v
5For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. 6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. 8But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. 9For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. 10And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. 11For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. 12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 13Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
