well first of all m ykitty is only 5 months old. my believes she is in heat, but i think ther eis more to it. she is meowing very loud and meowing all the time. but now she has also starting shaking when she meows and will not let you touch her. she has not eaten in about 12 hours (i gave her lunch but she did not eat it. she has not had supper either) what could be wrong with her? my mom says nuthing is wrong and since she is going to her in to get her shots on tuesday, we should not worry. i am worried though. she has always been the quitest little kitty. my mom called the vet and they are closed so we cant take her in anyways right now. what could be wrong?

okay well she shows no syptoms of "heat" like no sticking her rear in the air. i took her outside for about 5 mintues (it is the first time she has ever been out side and i keep her on a leash. she is usually scared to be out there)basically she sounds like she is in pain and if she is not meowing she is sleeping

my cat does that when she is in heat all the time... she goes from being a lovable ball of joy to this mean puff ball. I wouldnt worry but if you are still concerned when you go to take her for her shots just ask the vet and they will probably be able to give you some more insite into the situation

It doesn't sound like heat to me.
It could be an injury or a beginning illness.
I wouldn't worry too much about her not eating, but watch if she also doesn't drink water. THAT is alarming.
Call the Vet on Monday (earlier if she's not taking water) and describe her symptoms, see if you can get her in sooner for a checkup.
Every vet I know has an emergency phone number when you call their office number. Don't call the vet just because she's not eating, but if she hasn't taken any water in over 24 hours, that's a good reason to call.

She is old enough to be in heat. But if she is shaking and refusing food, your kitty is in some major trouble too.
What food are you giving her? Some wet foods have been found to be tainted with rat poison. If that's the problem, you had better use an emergency number: Your kitty will not last until Tuesday. Check out the Menufoods Recall list for more details.
Good luck!

This sounds like it really is an abscess, and it has burst. Abscesses reason infections, so this may be the reason your cat is being 'lazy'. it really is kind of like us with a cold or flu we do not prefer to do some thing except lie in mattress. at the same time as an abscess bursts extremely some the pus comes out and it may seem exceedingly terrible and would bleed a lot and a cat will immediately initiate cleansing the section. If it continues to be very pink, bleeding and they pusing gained't provide up take him to a vet asap. in the period in-between the right difficulty you are able to do is bathe the section a minimum of three circumstances an afternoon with warmth salty water using a cotton swab. it will be helpful to take a seem to work out if there's a overseas merchandise in the wound as it is between the the reason why abscesses initiate. wish he will be ok. merely keep bathing it.

Wow, you didn't give much in way of symptoms. However, if she is in heat (doubtful at 5 months) she will also have her rear end high in the air while prancing with her front feet. She would also WANT attention and be very active. Has she been outside? Could she have gotten a disease? Has she been injured in some way? You really should get her to a vet ASAP if she seems in any distress.

Give her 24 hours before doing anything rash. if she is still acting bizarre call an emergency vet. At 5 months they usually are not In heat but since you mentioned it- She can be fixed at 6 months old and you should invest in that!
Keep out fresh food an water for her and keep her isolated if possible from any other pets you have. (during those first 24 hours at least)

I'm pretty sure it's just in heat... notice whether she holds her tail to the side and picks up her bum when you pet her.... I've had three cats and all of them have done exactly what you've described when they were in heat... I'm sure they are fine... don't worry.... Don't let her around a male unless your ready for alot of little kitties around... good luck...

If she is on heat then if you pat her back she will crouch her back end and move her tail to the side. 12 hours with not eating is nothing to panic about so long as she is not dehydrated (her skin should be taught)

She might have ate something like yarn, and it got stuck going down. I hate to tell you, but it is a very expensive procedure. I hope your cat comes through it all right. Just give her plenty of water, and hopefully that will help it along.

To be on the safe side take her to the vet. If it gets worse your vet should have a emergency number, if not find one that does.
