If I won the lottery I would still work. It wouldnt be because I needed the money but it would be more of a way to keep myself occupied during the day. I mean at first maybe laying around the house would be absolutely great but after a while im sure it gets old! lol :)

I used to think that if I won the lottery, I would quit paid work and do volunteer at a charity shop a couple of days a week. But since becoming self employed, I would probably continue working to make a success of the business. It would be wonderful knowing that the bills are going to be paid and if you feel like a holiday you can just go away. The problem is even if you won a million pounds, in reality if you are young even though you would be able to buy a house etc. if you are not careful it would be very easy to spend the lot - look at the lady (Viv?) who won a lot of money in the 60's - spend, spend, spend.

Yes! If I won the lottery I would do voluntary work like helping old people or even go to help people in 3rd world countries. But if you mean work to earn money, I would not work for money.
But for now I have not won a lottery so I have to continue to study so as to find a job!!

Why would you work? The only reason anyone works in the first place is to make money, yes it is, dont give me that crap about, if you love your job, blah blah blah. If you won a retarded amount of money, noone in their right mind would work a regular job. Maybe do something that is fun, like the person before said about coaching and reffing sports, but, a 9-5er, no way. Youd be crazy.

I'd probably write and publish a few novels and design my own website. Which I guess is work. Even if I won the lottery, they'd have to pay me to do anything else.

Yes.
I would first buy the best backhoe/loader I can find and grade the dirt road approaching my land.
I would also hire people to help with farm chores.
I would volunteer to help the elderly, teens, children and underprivileged. For the elderly, I would organize and provide alternative health care services (I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist/Clinical Hypnotherapist).
For teens and children, I would organize and provide counseling.
For the underprivileged, I would organize better education.
I would continue to grow my garden, raise chickens and remodel my home as I love building things that are beautiful and functional.

I'd work as a freelance artist. If I won big enough, I'd buy the rights to my favorite webcomics and make animated movies! (Girl Genius, Narbonic, Inverloch, Dominic Deegan, The Wotch, and whatever else I like.)

I am not possitive, but if you love your job and it means the world to you I would still work. But it also depends on how much you won. If I won a few million I would probably still work. That's my opinion anyways.
