There are so many to choose from it's become a bit of a nightmare.First, you have to work out how much you are prepared to spend unless money is no object. Basically there are 2 ways of buying a new system .No. 1 you can buy all the components together by one manufacturer .Or 2 you can buy the individual parts from different makers.No.1 is the easiest to buy but if something goes wrong with a component you have to get exactly the same replacement for it to work. Also because you are getting a full system "theater in a box" there are bound to be compromises to save money.

If you buy separate components you have a much wider choice and usually you will get a better result .Also if you can't afford to buy the whole unit at once you can buy 1 piece at a time until you have all you want. That is the way i have got my system together.

This is what i have .It is only a guide for you to see what i mean.I am not saying to you get my one ,only a suggestion'.

NAD pre-amp.
Quad 306 power-amp
NAD DVD/CD player
Carver C9 Sonic Hologram Generator
Pro-Ject Turntable
JH Formula 4 arm
Rogers Studio 1 Loudspeakers

The C 9 gives you a three dimensionl sound stage

Depends on what you want and how much you want to spend. I know a guy who did his own home theater and used a Crestron system (which is the system they use for "smart homes"). If you go to the Crestron website they may provide information for what you are looking for.

digital mail me i will come there and set up your device to Dolby labs specs.. youll be surprised.. and youll spend decrease than $one thousand ;) Its one element to purchase a set of fancy kit.. Its yet another element to get all the way down to sound engineering to your area. P.s. my wealthy neighbor bough $20,000 worth of stuff.. I paid $3 hundred and mines sounds extra suitable .. why?

For the money (about $300) you should listen to the ONKYO "all-in-one" system...Click this link right here: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Onkyo-Home-Theater-System-HT-S590S/sem/rpsm/oid/148410/catOid/-12954/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
