No I didn't. I found something that touched or inspired me I just highlighted.
I also would mark the passages a minister would speak about. Then to the margins I would write the date, speaker, and the title of the message.
But I completely understand why someone would though. Now I wonder why I never did get nervous or feel that it was wrong.

I have been using pens and highlighters for years when reading my Bible. I can say that the thought did cross my mind, but never caused me to not do it. I have heard preachers encourage people to make notes. I often go back and read notes I made and verses I have marked and it is a joy to my heart.
Oh how I love my Bible!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I used was a pencil...so that I could erase it again so that it looks as though it wasn't written in. I used to think it was a sin to write//highlight in the bible. I don't do it anyways. I can't stand writing in books...there's no point in me doing it.

Never bothered me. I respect the Word but I find nothing wrong with making notes or highlighting.

Yes, but it was only because it was someone else's Bible. I made a note saying that the lineage of Joseph was different in Mark than it is in Luke.

Not at all He told me something I never was gonna forget.... If you want to save your life you must lose it ....If you lose your life to God,Jesus He will save it. I wrote a big circle around it with the neighbors bic. Then we both marveled at the simplicity of it. Me and a stranger.

Nope!
Not at all ...
Why would it be dumb ...
Was it not "Insight" given to you ...
How would you remember if you did not write it down ...
Next to the passage for which it came from ...

Dear TTC,
It is the thought that counts ....not the physical book, or pen.

no because sometimes the pastor tells you to do it so that you will read it everytime you see it or something.
