The End Times: But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God -- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. (2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV). But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. (2 Peter 3:10 NIV).

They have taken God out of everything in this country. Killing of children and newborns, and unborn babies. I have heard so much in the news about just horrible things. The making of the chip that is inserted under the skin, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes.Who cannot believe this? So many evil things going on

Some people may say that it would be bad for a christian to want the return of Christ and I do. There has been a lot of time for people to accept or reject Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. The ones that don't believe will with they had once they face the consequence. If there is no God what would be the harm in believing if you were going to turn to dust or thin air? There wouldn't be!

Personally I look forward to seeing Him!

I'm not talking about the last days as being bad, its exciting in fact. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are all the same thing suprisingly!

Load of Crap

if you are referring to the bible as a source, then remember that it has been severely edited over the centuries. the version you might read now is a gross misinterpretation to what could have been the real thing.

when the "second coming" is referred to, it is a reference to the decendant of jesus of nazareth making him/herself known to man.

as for armageddon, or the "end times", you should realize that all species end, not just the animals. we may, someday, go the way of the dinosaurs. but i doubt it. i think we are more than able to co-create our own reality.

people have always done horrible things and the killing of newborns/women/children is not a new concept, i'm sorry to say. niether is the intentional killing of unborn babies. you can believe this existed even in the time of jesus, when a woman could be stoned to death for giving birth outside of marriage. there are many herbs that can produce a miscarriage under the right circumstances.

power struggles and the push to attain that power under any circumstance is also an old idea. there are many people in history who pretended to be the pious only so they could have the power the church could wield. why? for money. for their secret and often horrible pleasures.

the weather has always been this way. people are more aware of it now because of dopler radar and the internet. we are more conscious of weather in other places because it is reported on in a constant manner. to associate weather with god? hmm, sounds like a novel. i'm pretty sure god lets the weather do what it's supposed to.

i think it is a shame that the modern interpretation of christianity has led to so many doomsayers and "the end is near" sign carriers.

God was never on earth. He sent his son. The bible clearly states that no man has seen God at any time and lived.

You talk of the last days as if it were a bad thing. It will be God's way of destroying the wicked to make way for the peaceful new earth.

God said he would protect us if we remain faithful to him.

Just like the 3 Hebrew children were safe even in the fiery furnace.

These things must take place and then the end will come...He says stand back and watch the glory of Jehovah.

A thousand will fall at your side and ten thousand at your other side and not a hair will be harmed on your head.

The angels are selective. ...and powerful. Pray to Jehovah for knowledge and strength to endure to the end.

I think that the Return isn't likely to happen. If someone wants it to happen, then I would say that they are a horrible person.

The Bible teaches that only after some great disaster will Jesus come back, say, the city of New York being replaced by a ball of fire. The Bible also says that the people left behind will suffer unimaginable horrors. Anyone who wishes this upon most of the world's population has a very twisted sense of morality.

Load of crap. Every century has seemed as if the world will come to an end. This century is no different. People in the 25th Century will be asking this same question.

I think it's a load of crap.

For one, the bible authors didn't even mention abortion because they didn't know about it. So for pro-lifers to suggest that this could in any way be applied to abortion today is nonsense from their theological point of view.

Also the news wants to report on scandalous things to attract attention. In a nation of 300 million people there will be statistical incidences where people do strange or horrible things.

People and life are getting better. We've doubled average lifespans in one century thanks to medicine. Fewer rates of childhood mortality. We're bringing killers to justice through improvements in forensic evidence. We don't believe in the eye-for-an-eye philosophy spouted by the bible in our free country. People get to say what they think without getting hanged in a public square, as they did in Medieval Rome under "biblical" laws.

Prophecies are terrible things not because they're real, but because they detract from our ability to see good in this world.

P.S. Elements don't get destroyed by fire, silly. Read a basic physics textbook. Heavens don't disappear in a roar: Sound can't travel in the vacuum called space. Read an astronomy textbook.

It seems to me that traditional fundamentalists are more opposed to society improving than the scientists and free thinkers they condemn for its downfall.

Well I'v never really been religious but that is kind of happening, especially the first part, with the whole status anxiety thing and all. But I don't think the earth will literally be destroyed all at once.

I believe it, and believe the time is coming near. I'm proud to say I believe in God, and want to do everything I can to return to his grace. I only speak for myself, but I'm glad to have felt his presence and know that he is true....I would be more afraid of the other alternative.

I believe that God will return. but I'm not sure if it will be in our lifetime. because llike by the events of the world, it sounds like the end is going to come soon. but i wish it wasn't. it's too early. we need to witness to more people. before it's too late. we must witness to many before everyone is judged

I have seen evidence of God growing up. I know he exists. As far as the Bible goes. You kinda have to believe all of it or none of it. I believe all of it . So yes Jesus is returning.
