Since prayer doesn't work, I guess it can be done any way anyone wants to do it, it won't make any difference.

Some people pray silently, some out loud some kneel, some stand, some shout, some dance while praying, I don't think the how is as important as the why. we pray to talk to God not to impress Him or others. Some days require more prayer then others, it's just important to keep in touch with the Father. And yes that will be what the government wants, how ever those that except and pray now won't be here then. Just keep drawing closer to God you will work out your own prayer life just as you work out your own salvation.

God already knows your prayer, He just wants to hear you say it with the "heart" anywhere anytime and in "any" manner that is sincere and humble before Him. Remember you are His child and He gets great pleasure hearing His children, God searches the "heart" so as long as it is sincere is all He cares about.
Don't let an atheist mentality stop you from posting questions concerning God, they will fight the saying "there isn't such a thing as an atheist" but they either have an "agenda" or are wrestling with God and don't know it "yet".
We are commanded to say the gospel of Christ but "once" and not fight nor force nor be foul to anyone, if they don't receive, then they don't, go on your way and "don't cast pearls before swine." It's just the way it is, it says so in the Bible."

You know some of these people that are not being serious makes me sick I am sorry for some of the comments that you are getting. I think that everything you do you should be praying just talking to him is praying you don't have to be alone you can be with people. Try to talk to him in every decision and every place that you go because having a relationship with Christ means that you need to communicate

God does not listen to all prayers, Proverbs 15:29. Jesus set an example as how to pray, Matthew 6:9-12. You must pray to Jehovah your God and ask for your prayer to be heard in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ. You must not be willfully sinning or he won't listen to your prayer, a man must not have his head covered and if a woman is in the presence of men must have her head covered, 1 Corinthians 11:4-10. Pray with sincerity from the heart, pray incessantly, and always thank God for everything, always be respectful, after all you're praying to the supreme being of the universe.

Pray anyway you like, anywhere you like. Forget about the government. I used to pray before class got started - openly. The other kids didn't make fun of me,either. If they ever laughed, they laughed with me,except for a few bonehead heavy-metal fans. I once had a teacher try to tell me I couldn't pray in an obvious way ( head bowed, hands folded),just "secretly" and "in my heart". I told him to call the cops if he thought it was such a big deal. He wouldn't do it. So then I explained I was BREAKING THE LAW and VIOLATING SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE by FORCING the government to make MY RELIGION an Official State Religion by TOLERATING a quick prayer (gasp!) on what we all know to be public property. Still wouldn't call the cops. And this is supposedly some big-deal constitutional thing. Sometimes you can stand up to BIG BROTHER and get squashed. Other times, you get away with it. I do what I can.

You should pray whenever you feel like it. I pray when I'm driving. There is no real right or way to talk to God. It can be like talking to your mother or father. Remember God is your true Father and accepts you just the way you are! You can pray 3 times per day or 1000 times per day it doesn't matter just as long as you come to Him. There is no real right or wrong way to talk to God as long as you do it with respect.

yes abolution should be performed before prayer, 5 times a day is ideal, if one can do it, extra is better for you. establishing regular prayer is a great way to keep ones face far from the hell fire. in Islam some prayers are partially said aloud, some all silent. who cares what the gov wants, God is more important then the gov. here in Malaysia prayer is allowed in school, Muslims and Christians had separate prayer areas in the schools I attended.

A Christian is a person who has a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ, and to have a relationship with anyone, there has to be communication - this is what prayer is.
It is not always necessary to just pray on your own in a room, but to pray as we go about our daily lives, lifting others up to the Lord as we hear about their struggles. Asking for help and comfort for ourselves in whatever we are facing.
The Lord's prayer is the pattern for prayer which God gave us.
