I just got my tattoo today, what should i do?

oh boy-the ink wont 'fall out'.
if anything comes off, it's just the dead skin & that is good, it means it is healing properly.
of course you can put a sock on-DONT bandage it(!!) the air needs to get at it to start the healing process, the tattoo people should have explained that to you.
make sure you put plenty of the A&D ointment on--you may have to sneak in the bathroom and apply it a few times while at work.

As recommended by my artist, I put on a layer of Bacitracin ointment then covered the area with plastic wrap before putting on shoes and socks. However, the more you can be without shoes, the more comfortable you'll be. I was able to wear sandals to work and take them off while I was in my office.

I have a tattoo on my foot as well and you will need to keep it bandaged up for a week when wearing tennis shoes because the ink can still fall out by your sock rubbing it..

I believe that you can put some salve and a bandage on it and it'll be ok. You might want to call a clinic or something in the morning before going to work. Also, if at all possible, take a pair of sandles or flip flops or something. If you work in a cubical maybe you can slip those one while you're just sitting there...

Lightly bandage and put on your sock. Just make sure you put plenty of ointment on so it won't dry out through out the day. You should do just fine with it.

! when i got my foot tattoos my artist told me not to wear shoes or socks for the entire healing process. they are too tight and constrictive and will not allow the tattoo to heal properly.
