When I was thinking of the question, I had that image of the scene from "Airplane" when the passengers find out there's nobody flying the plane and start rioting.

If I found out it WAS real, I'd convert really quick. I'd rather not burn in a lake of fire.

They would crucify themselves.
I found out a long time ago.
Those who still believe are pathetic and gullible.

An equally good question would be what would you do if you found out that Christianity *wasn't* a sham and that Jesus meant what He said when He declared, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no man cometh to the Father except through Me."

I just hope that it won't be too late for you by the time that you come to that realization.

With all due respect, you need ajustment.
If you would believe only to escape a lake of fire, your motive is wrong.
God doesn't want you to pay attention because you are afraid of fire. He'd appreciate it if you had some love toward Him.
Your question, emphasizing the word "IF" shows you lack accurate knowledge. You need to study the Bible and build up your faith.
Go for it!

It would be a sham based on the same people who told us the world was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth - scientists. And they have a nasty habit of reversing their "facts". So I, as a christian, would "do" exactly as I am doing right now; trusting in the Lord with all my heart, mind, and strength. For He is making my path straight.

Since there is no way to PROVE this question either way what will non-believers do when the knowledge of the "whole thing" when they have to stand before an angry God to be condemned.

If it's all fake the Christian won't be any worse off than the non-believer. We would both be dead forever... Jim

I dont think they would accept proof if it was staring them in the face!!
Even if this egotistical maniac actually existed(god) and came down and stood before them and told them himself that it was all a scam....they would still believe and give you some crap about it being a test of faith that god is giving them! And how the ones who hold fast to their belief will be rewarded!
Its because all they know is to follow blindly like dumb sheep, and not use their own judgement! It has been ingrained into them not to question and use their own minds....
I feel so sorry for them!
Blessed Be!

Cry.

lol! Some of them would likely go into denial and try to find a way to explain the proof away. But I do believe some of them will actually go, "Oh. Okay. Fair enough" and move on.

Does christianity make it's loyal christian happy? If the answer is yes, then they will stick to it regardless.

If the answer is no, then they will either leave or pour more faith into it.

If christianity is found to be false, then some of them would leave, while others would deny it more so, unwilling to give in, and pour more and more faith into it, making themselves more and more unhappy.

Why do you care? Do you have a life? Interests? A hobby? Something to occupy your mind besides questioning the beliefs of others. Honestly, you should find something constructive to do with your life. You are petty and to be pitied.
Fix that.
You'll be happy you did.
