I liked this girl at my school and I wanted to tell her that I like her and when I told her she said that she isn't ready for a boyfriend, so now I'm wondering if she said that because she just doesn't want to be my girlfriend.

Not really. It just means she's not in the right stage in her life to have a boyfriend. It doesn't mean she doesn't like you. Just give it some time.
Not all girls like every type of boys. Maybe there's one certain type of guy she's looking for. You can be mad if a girl doesn't like you or if you think she doesn't like you. You can't pressure a girls thoughts.

It might be because she just got out of a really tough and cruel relationship ending, and isn't ready for another committment, cause she might be afraid she will get hurt again. But if you see her with some other guy, then that just means she doesn't like you, and to her, that's the best way to say it. Us girls don't like to hurt peoples' feelings.

It can mean that yes. But on the other hand when I was in high school I was very busy and when I got asked out by a guy I kinda liked I said no. I ended up going out with him in college so it worked out even though I had said no.
My advise is just stick with it be her friend and she may come round, if she dosen't you still have a good friend.

I think that she may not be ready. I think that a lot of guys ask out girls when they don't try to get to know each other first. A girl needs to be swept off there feet. If you told her that you liked her it probably intimidated her especially if she doesn't really know you. If you get to know her and have a bit of fun with her or ask her on a date then she might be ready.

Maybe she just isn't ready for a bf. If she doesn't have one now, and doesn't have one soon, she's probably telling the truth. However, if she ends up with some other guy by Monday, she just didn't want to be YOUR gf.

I think it was kind of a nice way of turning you down, but then she could be series, I mean if you see her flirting with other guys, then you'll know she was lying, but just don't be upset, there is a girl out there for you, and it does'nt have to be her. Don't give up there is a girl who will truly like you, and respect you. Just do the same for her too.

Hm...this one's real hard to interperate, but its my guess that when she says she's not ready to have a boyfriend, that probably means she's not ready to have a boyfriend. Stop trying to read so much into things. Sometimes girls actually DO mean what they say.

Yeah, she doesn't want to be your girlfriend. If she liked you, she would probably want to be your girlfriend. She said she's not ready, so that would mean she doesn't want to be anybody's girlfriend. Does that make sense?

Maybe she wants to concentrate on school right now. That doesn't mean she doesn't like you. Try and become friends with her and maybe you'll have a chance with her in the future.
