Why have a common name for a dog ?
I named my dog :
" Dog that has killed a multitude of people who get near me, my home, wife and kids and or anyone that makes too much noise and eats burglars for breakfast, lunch, and dinner".
It's a very long name, but has proven a very effective name.
Anyway, never had any trouble from neighbors or anyone else , leave the house unlocked etc, it's just a real quiet neighborhood now since I named my dog an unusual name.

Saddie, Casey, Tyler, Sam, Buddy, Sandy, Sasha, Izabelle, Moose, and Andy are a few common names. The last 3 are names of my dogs. There's lots of cool dog name websites, just go to yahoo or google and type in "pet names" or "dog names" Good luck!

It really should depend on the breed, how the dog looks, or its personality...
My dogs are named Bear, Yoda, Libby, and Mouse.
Tell us more about the dog you need a name for...
