Do you perhaps have a secret desire to become one? The obsession must come from somewhere.

Kerilyn, my question asked "Why do some Christians". It didn't say that all Christians did that.

GeorgieGirl-I found you to be highly offensive last night. And I'm not even an atheist.

I think that they are afraid of our superiority. They rag on us for everything. They are cowards.

Why is it that I am not haunted by this thought? I shall tell you thusly. I am not haunted by this thought, because I know that Christians belittle Atheists, Atheists belittle Christians, when the truth is, neither of them are right. Which one can answer to the true source of power? Christians do not know salvation, nor do Atheists. If Christians knew salvation, they would not need Jesus. If atheists knew salvation, they would not need to wait for science to discover it for them. Therefore, since none know of salvation, neither is correct.

What then is salvation? It is the mind implanted upon the soul, having made the soul its home, its refuge. There exists no restlessness, so divulgence from the true light. The light of reality verily shines forth, and the inner soul of man is released, becomes one with the heavens and the celestial beings, verily becoming one with the gods, and that individual comes to know salvation.

I shall put it to you thusly. The supreme is beyond all limitations, beyond all power. If there existed any power greater than it, any power giving birth to it, or any power stopping it, then I would say, truthfully and honestly, that that power would be the supreme. But because the supreme, the immutable, invincible light of the mind is supreme, that power is salvation.

Let me give you an analogy to understand why Christians direct a lot of questions toward Atheists:

If you were a doctor and you knew how to help heal a medical condition, wouldn't you as a doctor offer your services to the people who needed the help? The Christian is the doctor and the Atheist is the person in need of medical attention. Doctor's take an oath to help preserve and keep life and the Christian is required by God to help to lead the spiritually dead to eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ.

Well,I don't want to,but I did last night - all seven questions. It's just that if you don't have any religious and spiritual beliefs, then why not get off the category? All they do is post endless pseudo-questions that are really just nasty anti-religion bigotry. They are also incredibly insulting and abusive. Last night I gave them a taste of their own medicine and wow were they squeeling like a bunch of stuck pigs! I hated to do it,but hey. This category is for people who want to exchange views with other people who have religious and spiritual values - be they members of another faith, another denomination of one's own faith,or just people who are interested in various types of arcane spirituality. It's certainly not there for bashing religion. As long as they keep bashing us,I'll bash right back. Most of them sound like 14-year-old metalheads. Or the kind of people who used to be trekkies in the 80s. I'm not saying this of athiests in general - just the kind of infantile snotty trash we keep getting on this topic thread.

Acyually, I think the athiests have a secret desire to become religious, either that or they just just have evil intentions, wanting to turn the weak in faith away from God, or they have a morbid infatuation with blasphemy.

It is also the other way around. It's a two way street. Sometimes it appears to be of hate.

They're not as confused as the ones who alternate between asking atheists questions and asking them why they're on R&S.
