How come people say that they belive in the Big Bang because it offers proof, of how the way the world was created. But to me, there is no proof, just hypothesis. Just a bunch of theorys. Last time I checked they had to be proven. They say what happens but no proof is offerd, its just their opinion. Alot of people say they dont belive in something they cant see. So why would you belive something that happend a billion years ago, and you have never viwed before, or seen, first hand, before?

I would like them to explain how from an explosion that would hurl everything in all direction at tremendous speeds, some objects would come to a stop to form suns, planets, comets, asteroids, and moons in formed galaxies and yet the galaxies themselves are still moving outward. How could that be?

You write as if the big bang contradicts God somehow. In fact, when the theory first came out, many scientists were worried because they thought it was evidence that pointed to God...that pointed to a birth of a universe, and based on the principle of causality on which all science is based, the birth of a universe requires a "Universe Birther" if you will. The big bang dispelled the commonly held view that the universe is eternal and therefore doesn't require God for it's origin.

But there is proof for the theory of the big bang. The universe is expanding and they've detected radiation from such a cataclysmic event.

But I do agree with your point that lots of people make the pitiful argument that they don't believe in what they can't see. That borders lunacy. The scientific community would never agree with the argument that you shouldn't believe in what you can't see.

Any rational person would agree that there are sufficient ways of proving an unseen thing. So the question is, "Do we have a good basis for believing in the existence of God though we can't directly see Him." And I think the answer is a clear and emphatic, yes.

Science is not finished. The Big Bang theory is a theory. But, it has a of explanatory power, there is no evidence in the universe that contradicts its occurrence, there is a lot of strong inferential data for it, it is internally consistent, and it makes empircally-testable predictions. This is not hard evidence, but it is not "just their opinion," either. It's how science works.

The Big Bang theory is no less a theory than the germ theory of sickness was in Pasteur's time.

Many theories are proven, and many can't be proven. Science goes by best guess, and that's Big Bang. There's a lot more evidence for that than any other idea of universal formation.

as opposed to? and i'd be complimenting the bible to call it so much as a "theory", let alone the "truth".

but that aside, i agree, it has not been proven, i personally never claimed it fact, but it makes the most sense. i cant prove that we even exist, but i take it for granted sometimes.

If you say God created himself, came out of nothing or was always there, then you can't deny that the universe could have came from nothing, created itself or was always there.....

There's a lot more proof of the Big Bang than there is in the existence of God.

I say it's a logically plausible theory based on logic and understanding of science and observation of the natural world.
