what are some good ways to slim your tummy, and upper arms without gaining muscle? also some tips on toning thighs?

Doing some cardio really works well. I use The Firm Transfimer series that you can buy at Target or online. They have several different videos that are for cardio and sculpting. The sculpting will help you tone up your muscles but isn't really enough to make huge muscles. the Transfirmer box that you use has wonderful steps for toning your lower body. Thighs, butt, etc. I have gotten great results. There are also Turbo Jam and just plain walking, jogging, or an eliptical machine are great ways to get some cardio in!

you cant chose which body part to lose weight of - it has to be overall weight loss.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
5-8servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

cardio such as tae bo, been doing it for 3 weeks, im seeing great results!! try billy blanks dvd..if u have time!
