Please don't slam me if you don't believe in this. But why do we run into people that we could swear we have known before?

Recently I had an experience where I met a person who not only looked familiar, but his voice, mannerisms, eye-gaze were all familiar. But I could not have known him, not in this life.

I seriously doubt it. (By that I mean no, I just didn't wanna seem rude.)
You've got 2 keep in mind that although there are nearly 7 billion ppl living on earth, there are many people with similar facial features, personality traits, tendencies, etc. After you've lived oh so long and traveled to oh so many places, the people you meet will begin to remind you of people you know or knew in the past.

Ther is no pre exsistence per say. Because a soul exsits from the time it was created,which was millions of years ago. God created all souls in the first earth age. Then at the overhtrow where satan drew 1 third of God's children with him. God destroyed the earth age,rather than destroy 1 third of His children, God then caused all souls to be born innocent of woman,with no recall of the first earth age. To make up there mind whether they will love God or satan. Remember all souls were created long ago,and were created to live forever. All names are in the Book of Life but unfourtunatly alot are coming out. Somtimes God's elect,which means those who stood with God instead of following satan at the overthrow.Sometimes they will have flash,like I've been here before,or this has happened before.

Well, that depends on what you mean by "pre-existence"? I'm assuming you are talking about reincarnation. No, I don't. I remember any part of my previous life. There can be numerous reasons why someone can meet a familiar face.

Only in the sense that we all existed in God's mind before we were ever brought to earth. People who "remember" past lives are either mistaken or they are being fed information from some seducing spirit that is seeking to keep them from knowing the true God of Heaven and Christ Jesus his Son.
As to seeing people whom we could swear we knew before, it's probably just a trick of the mind where we associate someone we have see before and have a subconscious memory of with a person whom we are just meeting.

Buddhists believe in reincarnation. I think it's common sense - if a soul is eternal, what happens to it after it leaves it's earthly body? Does it just hang around in spirit form for the rest of time? I don't think so...

i think that is one posibility, like you are seeing the soul of a person you knew in another life.
