Live as if there are no gods, enjoy life, and be a decent person. If there is indeed a just god, you will be rewarded. If there are no gods, you had a worthwhile life and that's the end of it. If there is an unjust god, then you're probably screwed anyway, whatever you do.

Problem 3: In that event your god doesn't satisfy the criterion of being just. If there was an unjust god then he'd be more likely to torture believers than non-believers, as your anguish would be so much the greater.

Problem 1:
Enjoying life and being a decent person are not synonimous. Check out all the child molesters, drug dealers, etc. Those may be the extremes but even a polite lie can hurt other people. They are all trying to enjoy life or trying to be decent.
Problem 2:
To really be a decent person requires discipline to a certain standard. A standard, by definition, comes from a higher source. If you make them up yourself they are apt to be changed to your convenience; no longer being a standard, just your own rules...like the child molester.
Problem 3:
The choice you die with is the choice you keep throughout eternity, with God or without God. If God is real (and He is) He is going to ask you why you didn't heed His Word or accept the free gift He offered you, especially considering the price He, Jesus, paid to make it real. Given that nothing good can come without God, choosing without will be a 'world of hurt' by default.
Problem 4:
Being just is His to define since He created us and not the other way around. Does your dog tell you how to run your house? Who are we to judge God's ways just because they may seem inconvenient to our ignorant thinking. ...which takes us back to problem 3.
