find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats, take 300-400 calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.

8 glasses of water a day
5-6 small meals instead of 3 big ones (breakfast is the most important - make sure to get complex carbs like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, fruit etc)
4-6 times a week cardio for 30-50min, light weight training, many reps
no junk food, no sodas, no alcohol, no white flour (cakes, cookies, white bread, pasta etc.), nothing high in sugar (ice cream)

Did you know that Olympic weightlifters typically have 5% body fat? That's so low it's insane.
Weightlifting is a tremendous way to lose fat. You have fast twitch muscle in your body, which sits and does no work until you lift around 80% of your maximum lift. The fast twitch are the bulk of the muscle, the big fibers. When you lift you do a slight amount of damage, and your body has to repair itself. This repair keeps going on your rest day too.
The beauty of it is that your metabolism gets kicked into high gear to meet all the demands - you burn fat like crazy.
The other thing is that the body's belly fat is generally the first place drawn on for extra energy.
Weightlifting is also en excellent cardio workout when done right. Rest only 90 seconds between sets.
Here are some good exercises to google ( Pay close attention to form and work up to a weight that you can lift 8-12 repetitions):
High Pulls, Jump Shrugs, Front Squats, Lunges, and the best ab excersise is considered to be the bycicle

The ONLY way to get rid of tummy flab is consistent, long term cardio, at least 30 minutes, 4 days a week. You have to really SWEAT!!! Do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach to see fast results. Running, intense mountain biking, swimming laps, walking up steep hills and mountains, spinning...
Clean up your diet for even faster results (especially cutting out sugar and processed white flour and convenience foods)
This is a GREAT site: http://www.intense-workout.com/abdominal_exercises.html
I suggest you read every word!!
SIT UPS STRENGTHEN THE ABS BUT DON'T BURN FAT!!!
