none and nowhere. Your body produces hair whether it is raining or hot heat, whether you are inside or out, when you are sleeping or not. I am pretty certain the hair grows faster when you are awake then when you are asleep. There is no effect to the speed of growth with shampoo because the skin keeps the shampoo out and the blood in. The way to feed the roots of the hair is by eating well.
