For some, meditation is a "practice." & if it works I think that's splendid. I do not--but there's a multi-dimensional self (on which I can only speculate) that goes into "serene mode" when I need it. I have absolutely no conscious control over it.

I meditate daily half an hour in the morning and evening.It helps to narrow down the gap between conscious and unconscious mind.

An Alpha state one enters just prior to falling asleep. Don't usually enter it anymore as my thought stream is mostly under conscious control. I may prolong the state as a course of sleep from time to time.

you find a quiet spot where you can be alone
breath in frsh air and sit in a comfortable position and clear our mind of everything then ask Jesus to come in and sup with you,relax feel the chill, the lightness,and soundness then you are there

I try to stop thinking. It rarely works but I still try. And if I can, I feel a great peace wash over me that is really awesome.
