First Premier is in no way related to Barclay's.
FP is also a sub-sub prime lender loaded with nonrefundable fees.
You would be better off taking the money that you would spend in fees and getting a secured card from your bank, credit union, Bank of America or even Orchard Bank and HSBC.

Yes I have one of their Centennial Visa cards to rebuild my credit after being the victim of identity theft nearly 11 years ago and they're a good company, but once you feel that your credit is where it should be cancel the account. The monthly payments are fair I pay $20 a month. I would check them out if you're looking to rebuild your credit and they will accept you if your credit's not so great so you can begin to rebuild your credit so you can get accepted by other companies. I got 3 additional cards 3 through Bank of America. I am getting rid of the First Premier Card very soon to apply for a card through my bank.

First Premier is one of the worst credit cards that you can get. You will be charged $172 to get a $250 credit limit.
Check out the site below for information on these cards. They list the cards you need to avoid and the cards you should consider. You will be surprised at how many are scams.
Also avoid Capital One. They do not report your credit limit which damages your credit
Good luck

Yes, I have one. Other than the initial fees they will charge to the card to setup, it works the same way as any other card. The good thing is where other card companies will close your account if you get a bit behind, First Premier will just put it "on hold" until your back current and you automatically get use of your card again.
