OK...there are 2 ways to answer this:

1. Do your lights dim when the bass hits. If NO - then you dont need a cap.

2. Normally, its a loose ground at the amp or where its grounded, a touching speaker cable(the two cables touching somewhere, like at the amp or on the box) , or the power wire is loose at the fuse, battery, or amp. Check all those, I found it was my ground.

If your lights do not dim when the bass hits, then you do not need the cap. I had to put in a 1farad cap in my car after upgrading from 2X 10" subs to 2X 12" subs with the same amp.
Is you amp getting too warm while playing? It could be shutting off for that second (going into protective mode) if the amp gets too hot.
What are the subs rated for? are they pushing your amp? How are they wired (series or parallel)? Can it handle the ohm load?

Check this before buying a cap.

first of all you might have them wired wrong. you do NOT need a cap for a 500 watt amp. if your lights dim that means you need a new batt. you can run up to 1,000 watts without a cap if you have a good batt. a cap will do nothing for you if you are only running 500 watts. hope this helps.

You are overloading the amp. Turn down your gain on your amp a little.

I'm sorry. Your question is way too hard to understand. You probably blew out your speakers.
