If it was a guy....then he'd have to be taking responsibility for his health I'm afraid......otherwise we'd be falling out.......

If you are really close to her, why is this an issue?

I'd say if this the type of thing that you base the quality/longevity of your relationships on, you need to avoid marriage or any other long term relationships.

I feel that if you cannot assure a woman that your committment to her will not be sacrificed because of her weight or appearance, you have no right to suggest that she try to better herself, because it's only in vain.

It's possible in 20 years you might not look so hot either. Not every woman is going to remain thin as time goes by. No human being is physically perfect.... so you need to determine what's more important, striving for a good emotional relationship, or striving for a physical appearance that is going to change no matter who you're with?

honestly.... if u really love her, which u didnt say, u should actually talk to her, and tell her that u really need her to lose a few pounds, and get the same way she was before. try to pick nicer words, but yeah, im a person who wouldnt be able to do anything with a person who i dont feel attracted to (by anything i mean anything in bed). if u dont love her, and u think that u guys are better off as friends, i tihnk u should let her be the way she is, and tell her, thta lately u ve really been thinking about ur relationship, and u feel that u yguys are really close, but that u dont feel that ur relationship is going anywhere as boyfriend/girlfriend. and that u guys are better off as friends, that u think of her as a sister. However, u said u guys were together for 2 years, and i think that it makes u a jerk to want 2 dump her only cuz she gained weigh.

Let's flip the question. Would you feel ok with being dumped because YOU put on a little around the middle? Or you started to thin up-top? Or you had lost your front teeth in a car accident? Of course you wouldn't!

Don't be so freakin' shallow. A person's worth is on the inside, not what dress size she wears.

even though u said guys, im a lesbian so ill tell u from my point of view cuz i got a gf
if both of u r really close and the thought of dumping her just passed through ur tiny brain, then u r not close with her
i would tell her nicely to lose weight really
or at least if she has gotten fat, there must a reason for it, a personal problem from it, so u should talk to her about it dude.
but anyway, getting to the point, if she got really really fat, yes id dump her, cuz shes not takin care of herself
good luck wit that man

Accent on "Little"--no. A lot, well...maybe, but I'd try to talk to her seriously about getting in shape for her own health. Maybe send her an anonymous note, "from a friend" saying she's getting plump and needs to lose some weight. I don't think girls like hearing this directly.

WOW ! If it is such a problem ask her if she would like to start going bike riding with you or even start exercising with you just tell her you want a partner and you want her to be that partner without telling her she has gained weight !!! Do not be so mean , MEANY !!!!!

ANY MAN WHO WOULD DUMP A GIRL FOR BEING FAT, IS AS A SHALLOW AS A PUDDLE. YOU ACCEPT A WOMAN FOR WHO SHE IS, NOT FOR WHAT SHE LOOKS LIKE. MEN LIKE THIS, PISS ME OFF SO MUCH WITH STUPID IDEAS LIKE THIS. WOMEN ARE NOT WHORES AND TO BE PLAYED WITH. I'M SURE JENNA JAMESON WOULD SAY YOUR TOO UGLY TO BANG TOO, BUT HEY, WHO KNOWS? THAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH MEN TODAY, YOU WANT SOME SUPERFICIAL PIECE OF PUSSY TO BANG WHO WILL GET OUT OF YOUR FACE LATER RATHER THAN A WOMAN WHO IS GOOD AND FAITHFUL AND WHO MIGHT HAVE A LITTLE FAT ON HER AND THEN YOU WANT TO COMPLAIN WOMEN ARE SLUTS? GROW UP IF THIS IS YOU!

me personally, i believe that if you two have been together for around two years, that it is partly your responsibility to help her maintain her wieght. if you started to get concerned about her weight, then you should have went jogging with her, or something like that,. not going out to another movie( or ect.)
but she can still lose wieght, and if you love her you will help her, and stay with her. and she should not be offended by your concern, if youve been together for that long. good luck!!

Listen to the song by Musiq "Don't change" He is saying this:
I'll love you if your hair turns gray and I'll still want you if you gain a little weight, the way I feel for you will always reamin the same just as long as your love don't change."

And that's what love is sweetie...Do you love her?

only if her looks bother you to the point of where you couldnt be happy with her and love her for what she is.You see our looks will change over the years, we all cant be good looking to the age of 100.
