I was raised a Catholic, so I was taught about Jesus. My specialty was always sinning though, so I drifted early in life. For me it was a major effort to go a whole day to keep from sinning. So I wandered far from God, and as a teenager became embittered against Him, reasoning that if He was almighty and the world was in the mess it was in, then it was His fault. So one day I "fired" Him, praying "If You are who You are, and my life and the world is in the mess it is in, then I don't want to have anything to do with You."
Scary thing was, it seemed God decided to answer my prayer. I felt an immediate change come over me, and a darkness and gloom settle upon me. I lost the ability to laugh or smile. Nothing seemed funny or amusing anymore. All that was uplifting or cheery vanished from my soul. I started an intense search, picking my brain apart to find an answer, trying to come up with something meaningful; anything uplifting, that would bring me out of my funk. The more I struggled the faster I sunk - like quicksand. I felt within myself like I was falling into a bottomless pit. Every morning I got up, lower than what where I was when I had gone to bed. Every night I went to bed, lower than where I was when I had got up. I was literally loosing my mind - definitely neurotic, probably psychotic. I tried drugs, but on one acid trip I took I lost control. It was like someone else took control of my mind and played it on "fast-forward bummer". I felt like I hit rock bottom, came home one day, fell on my face on the living room floor and started crying. Then something totally unexpected happened. A voice spoke into my heart these words: "Maybe Jesus really did die for your sins." Immediately a total transformation came over me, and I felt a flood of light and life and peace and hope and understanding drive out the darkness and gloom and despair that had possessed my soul, and I felt like I had been transported from the lowest pit to the highest mountaintop. I knew intuitively that God had forgiven my sins and brought me into peace with Himself. I realized for the first time in my life that the Gospel wasn't just a story, but that it was the truth, that Jesus really was the Son of God, and that when He died on that cross it was for me He died. I never heard of anyone else having that kind of experience, so I kept it to myself for years. I read about a year later in the Bible in John's Gospel, Chapter 3, Jesus was talking about something He called being "born again". I knew as soon as I read it, that was what had happened to me - I had been born again.
The day that happened I changed completely in my attitude towards God and towards people. I started loving and stopped hating. I stopped cursing and blaspheming. I stopped lying and stealing and using people. I had an assurance in my heart that God loved me and had saved me, and that if I should die, I would go to be with Him forever. That was more than 36 years ago. I've been far from perfect, and gone through lots of things, but the love of God towards me has been steady and consistent since that day I first believed.

Charles Darwin has assisted me in faith. Athiest tend to use him a lot for the point of view, the whole big bang theory and such. But it is the big bang theory that teaches me of Gods existence. If all this matter and energy converged until it exploded, then where did the matter and energy come from? Also it comes from the actions of Christ. Not the Virgin birth or the ascension even, but in his actions as a man. As to the why I have faith? Because I know there is something greater than me in the Universe and I already know it is not women and definately not men.

Faith comes from hearing the Word of God.

Yes I have faith in God and have seen the evidences of such in my life. As I look back over the years since I have been a Christian (which is 37 years), I see the hand that has guided and planned.

It is by grace we are saved through faith, not of works lest any man should boast.

Without faith it is impossible to please God.

I have 100% faith in the one and only God. I have this faith, not because of "proof" or that I saw an angel or something - but it just feels right. I can't explain it, but my faith is the only truly stable thing in my life.

"Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God!" This is what the Word says. "Faith is the subtance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen" Just believe in God and His Word, who is His son Jesus. Blind faith as it should be. believe totally in and what He says in His Word. As to why I have faith. I was taught as a small child and I have always just believed in Him that sent me into this world. He is my creator and He is the author and finisher of my faith.

I went to Sunday School and church since I was a very little girl. I learned my faith there - we also said nighttime prayers and grace before meals at home.

My faith is in my heart and mind.

I have faith because I believe what the church taught me.

I was about dead, I called out to GOD and HE answered.
All Faith comes from GOD.
I have Faith cause I got Born-Again (saved).
You get the measure of Faith when you get saved. (I could be wrong on this point as if All Human Beings have the measure of Faith, but I don't think I am.)
Hope this helps.

I have a complicated "religion" that would take a while to explain, but I think people have faith because humanity needs to believe in something greater than themselves; that they're not responsible for what happens in their lives, or that they are responsible depending on which way you look at it. Ciao!!!
