i bought these 85 dollar sketcher steel toe shoes for my job at work and they are unbelievably uncomfortable. i tried to put dr sholls gel cushion in it but they still hurt. anyone know what else i can do? i also have flat feet.

The best support And cushion you can get would be a customized orthopedic support. This can be made for you by a chiropractor. I've enclosed a link where you can find a chiropractor in your area in the USA.

i used to sell steel toes, make sure it's not a manufacturing problem (sometimes the steel is wrong and can dig in) otherwise thick socks and over time they'll wear in. you could try some leather softner or... back in the day apparently standing in water so that they soften and mould to ya feet... hmmm, that could possibly wreck them unless they're completely leather, good luck
