I doubt it. See, I'm aware that there are other "lost books" that allegedly claim that the two were married, but if the Bible is truly the Word of God, does anyone honestly believe that He is powerless to preserve the books that he commissioned 2 B written by means of his Holy Spirit?

It seems very unlikely that Jesus had a romantic relationship with Mary Magdalene based on what is written in the scriptures; all we know is that he expelled seven demons from her and she was among the first to see him after his resurrection. Catholic tradition (I believe) portrays her as a prostitute, but there is no accuracy in this claim.

It is also rather unlikely that Jesus would have taken on a wife and kids (imperfect at that) considering that he even denied himself food and sleep at times in the interests of preaching and taking care of others. Think about it: food and sleep are essentials for life and sanity. If Jesus went without these (at 1 point for 40 days and nights), does it not seem reasonable that he could have denied any natural sexual desires that he may have had?
Why would he marry a woman that he just expelled demons from and then bear halfway perfect children with her, knowing that he was soon to die and be resurrected to heavenly life???

I think most of the Jesus and Mary "buzz" comes from the book and movie _The Da Vinci Code_ which presents some information as "fact" when it is not.

* The average person would rather believe a "conspiracy" because it is more fun and interesting.
* It's a sad world where "fun and interesting" beats truth.

No.
As far as I can see, Jesus seemed to be a bit too busy to get married and raise a family.
Why does anyone assume that just because He is half human, He could not have been celebate? By the same reasoning, He is also half God...
Although I would have said He is one hundred percent of each.

No. How can the church be the bride of Christ if He already had a bride.

Also, for the last 3 years before the cross, He spent every waking moment with His disciples teaching them..With 12 of them there you would have some rumor about a wife saying why are you spending all that time with those men, spend some time with me.

Women of that time needed a man to protect and care for them, On the cross Jesus gave his mother to John....if there had been a wife why didn't He give her to someone to care for too..

I think this is sick that so many people would think things like this about our Lord and Savior. No! NO! NO! Jesus was never married to Mary Magdalene or anyone else. Jesus is Holy and perfect and does not have children with anyone.

Although I do have some belief He was married, I personally doubt He had children. I don't know why I feel that way, but I do. I believe that marriage by the right authority (which is God's Holy Priesthood) is ordained of God, can be eternal and that it is required for entrance into the Celestial Kingdom. So, I think Christ probably was (or will be at some point) married, but I kind of don't think He had any children.

Jesus never had any children. He never became involved with any women. Since the Bible says that sex should only be between a man and woman who are married, that would mean Jesus would have had to have been married to have children. He never was married, so to have children would have been a sin for him, and he was a sinless perfect being.

for centuries in europe, the merovingians-sp? have claimed to be direct descendants of jesus.
the koran says he settled in the middle east and had children.
hindu sanghas have records of a man called " yuz afar " thought to possibly be jesus

scholars wrote and discussed these things long before anyone ever thought about the da vinci code, it's just that the da vinci code is the first time YOU guys ever heard these things. and NO the da vinci code is not 100% not even 75% accurate, but it does get it's basis from possibilities that historians have researched.......

Pamela V: the bible "publishers" originally rejected the book of revelations.. so how do you know that it wasnt written about and one of the Christian Churches, omitted it....

I think its highly probable that they got married and had children, he was here to be an example to us all and since marriage is ordained by God, then dont you think he would have gotten married so he could get us to do the same?
