I can't seem to lose any weight. It's now been 5 weeks, I use the treadmill for 6 days a week for 60 mins burning 375 calories although I do other household chores for another hour.
My calories intake is approx 1500 per day

I am 6 ft and 200 lbs.

Can someone pls advise on what I need to do and when I shall see some weight loss.

Thanks

walking wont make you lose weight, only inches. try measuring your waist, and give it a week, then measure it again, you will lose inches. because walking builds muscle, doesnt drop fat. in order to lose weight, you need to also lift a little bit of weights and swith up your exercising a bit. good luck! and drink plenty of water :)

You're not eating enough calories. I know that sounds crazy, but you need to take your total calories and subtract the calories you burn on the treadmill and if your answer is less than 1200 then you're not eating enough. Your body goes into survival mode because it thinks you're in a famin, so it saves every calorie you eat. You can actually gain weight that way. Some people may need more calories than 1200, that's just what I shoot for (I'm 5.3 so you probably need a few more than I do). You can go to this website called thedailyplate.com and it will estimate how many calories you need a day. Also it can keep track of them for you.
Also, you might be going to fast on the treadmill. Make sure you keep your heartrate in the "fatburn" zone. Most treadmills at gyms read your heartrate for you and can tell you if you're going to fast/working too hard. If you are then you're getting an "anerobic" workout, and that doesn't burn fat.

P.S. you might want to look into working out on a cross-trainer, you know the thing with the ski looking things and the arms that move when you walk? It burns more calories in less time so you don't have to spend an hour on it.

5 weeks isn't very long in a weight loss programme. it seems to me you are expecting a magic fix for your excess weight remember it didn't get there in 5 weeks so why would you expect it to disappear in that short time?
Perhaps you need to look at a complete rethink about what you are doing. Don't forget that when you exercise you are building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat! So sometimes a tape measure is useful as you may find that you are decreasing in size although you haven't lost any weight.
A good nutritional diet, because you need to make sure you are getting enough nutrition even though you are losing weight, is available through GNLD distributors and testimonials can be found on the gr2 control web site. Also remember any weight that is lost rapidly, generally returns when you stop dieting so it's best to loose it slowly over time and change your eating habits. When you get the gr2control programme you get a booklet that tells you which are the best and worst foods for you and it sounds as though you need this kind of help.

I have lost 80 pounds in the last 3 years. Exercise is good, but you have to eat right. Don't cut your calorie intake so much, just eat right. A great thing y ou can eat as much as you want of is cauliflower coated with egg and fried. Eat lots of fruits, vegetables, salads, fish, chicken. Stay away from processed foods and red meats. Actually SEX is the BEST way to burn calories, and walking is great too. The treadmill is fine, but get moving in life. You don't go anywhere on a treadmill. Ride a waverunner. Get a lateral thigh training machine. Take vitamins, especially vitamin B complex, and you will see results sonner than you think.

The only thing that I can see is this: Bump up your exercise on the treadmill and eat less. Walk faster, use the incline longer and sweat sweat sweat!! I'm hoping you do your 60 minutes all at once and not splitting it up. Be sure you're eating a good breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Have healthy snacks in-between your meals and try to not eat anything but fruits after 7:30 pm. It's hard work to lose, stay focused and don't give up!

I eat egg omelet in the morning, meet during the day and water all day only. You are only allowed meet and water no carbohydrates. Well only 20 grams of carbohydrates a day. I have lost 12 pounds in 5 days.

It's not all about the specific pounds, its more about inches being reduced. I would try to include more cardio with the treadmill and some weight training. Some of that weight you want to lose could very well be under developed muscle.

Try this, it will definitely help you!

The easiest and natural thing to do is to walk. So, choose a time of day when you are not busy and make that your walking moment. You do not have to power walk, but it must be continuous. That means every single day. No matter if you are on vacation or not. There is always walking to do. Start out going for a walk around your block for a week. Then the second week if you feel comfortable doing that then increase it to two blocks. Do not try to do more until you are comfortable walking two blocks. By the end of one month you will probably be at a comfort level where you can now walk for one hour up and one hour back to your home without getting winded, as long as you leisurely walk.

As I have mentioned before, do not power walk. Just leisurely walk non-stop every day. That includes in the rain and the snow and the heat. The key is to prepare yourself for the walk. If it is raining cats and dogs, don't bother with an umbrella. Get yourself a hooded raincoat and water galoshes. If it is snowing outside then buy a warm coat and scarf and gloves and boots. You might want to get a pair of dainty long johns and thermal socks. If it is hot outside, buy a headband and clothing that flecks the moisture away from your body.

You are not going to die of thirst in an hour at a leisurely pace so forget about the water bottle. Drink your water and empty your bladder before you leave the house, so that you will not be uncomfortable during your walk. Well, there you have it. One hour up and one hour back. No more, no less. Do not stop to pet the dog or smell the roses. Don't even stop to talk to your neighbors. Just smile and say hello and goodbye as you continue on your way. People will by now have noticed you have begun to slim down and will probably want to walk with you. It is alright to let them. But, stipulate to them that they must walk at YOUR PACE and on YOUR CHOSEN PATH! Resist the urge to power walk!

By now you are admiring yourself differently and have made walking a daily routine and it didn't cost you a thing. After you have been doing this for a good six months, it is well within reason that you want to do more for a variety. Well, good for you. Get out that ratty blanket that you keep on your bed and throw it on the floor. Now do get down there and strive to do five situps. Stop! I said 5! Only do 5. There's no race here. You are not in competition. Continue to only do five during the time that you have chosen to do them for one month. The second month if you choose to do so you may increase your situps to ten times each day. Continue to increase your situps ever every month until you reach fifty. Yes, I said 50! I know that you know someone who can do one hundred or more. But, you are not them and you asked for my advice. The reason that I make fifty a cut off point is because you want to make this a lifetime routine coupled with your walks and you don't want to risk hurting yourself or becoming bored.

As you do your walking and situp routines, don't forget to have fun.

the trick to losing weight is to burn more calories than you eat. So if you eat about 1500 cal then make sure you burn 2000.
