Do I need a special radio mounting kit for a chevy Aveo?

I have a 2005 Chevy Aveo LS with the in-dash AM/FM tuner radio... do I need a special mounting kit to add my own radio or can I install a radio without one?

You can use the factory brackets to mount your new radio without a kit; it will be very secure, but there will be small gaps on each side between the radio and dash bezel. You can get an installation kit like Metra's 99-2003; it might look a little better in the dash, but it's not strictly necessary.
