I drink a lot of iced tea. Can I count it towards my 8 daily glasses of water I'm supposed to drink? Does it matter if it's caffinated or not?

Yes, it will count.

Also, don't sweat about the 8 glasses of water a day.
That's just a myth that keeps getting perpetuated by "health experts".

Just drink what you enjoy and when you're thirsty.

yes, you can count it in the 8 but a glass of ice tea may equal half a glass of water. Depends on the tea. Tea is a better replacement compared to coffee, soda, milk, & others.

I think you can count it against your 'water' intake, but not totally. The idea is to drink something healthy without additives, flavoring, sugar, sugar subsitute, etc.

So if your ice tea is green-tea, no sugar, no other flavorings, I think you are fine. But do mix water in at least every other time.

Tea contains caffeine which is a diuretic, a substance that makes you pee off water faster. Three-fourths water mixed with one fourth real juice is better. Tea has many benefits, though, but, its diuretic quality needs to be considered.

Yes it will coun toward your water intake. I think that its diuretic effect will be outweighed by its anti-oxidant value.

No. There is no replacement for water.

Water should be your primary drink every day.
