Head & Shoulders Intensive Formula is the best shampoo for dandruff. Leave the lather on for 3-5 mins. before rinsing.
Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo is the best clarifying shampoo for removing build up from styling products.
You should consider shampooing every day. Concentrate on the roots and just rinse the lather through the rest of your hair to avoid drying it out.

Sounds like just dandruff..but get someone to check you for lice if you have that at school...It costs a bit more but try Selsun Blue..this will help if it's not lice. Hairspray will build up and cause problems....use baking soda along with your shampoo about every week to remove the residue and build up from sprays, gels etc. Good Luck

I was starting to see some flakes a few months ago. I attribute it mostly to cold weather low humidity in air from heating. Any way I tried pert plus, and head and shoulders, and selson blue. Nothing seemed to work. Well three weeks ago my best friend said that hair dye has some sort of chemical make up that gets rid of it. It truly did work for me, too. If you like to change up the color of your hair, then maybe try this. Not that it matters but I use Feria by LoReal for more dimensional color. Good Luck! & Hopefully it's not lice...

Well the "white stuff" is dandruff. Dandruff is the dead skin coming from your scalp, because it is dry, some type of chemicle has been on it, or it is in family history. I have dandruff too. DO NOT USE HAIRSPRAY EVERYDAY!!! It is bad for the scalp. If you are afraid of getting lice don't share hats, hair brushes or combs, hair clips or any thing like that. I use for my dandruff Head & Shoulders, Aussie, and Samy condiconor.
Oh and wash you hair everyday(in the morning when you wake up).
Hope this helps!!!

Carry on using a shampoo for flaky scalps (like head and shoulders) and follow up with the conditioner. When shampooing, massage your haid with your fingertips to stimulate blood flow and hair growth.
Treatment
Head & Shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo containing active ingredient Zinc pyrithione.
Nizoral Shampoo anti-fungal/anti-dandruff shampoo containing active ingredient Ketoconazole.
Selsun Blue anti-dandruff shampoo containing active ingredient Selenium sulfide.
The antifungal properties of tea tree oil have been reported as useful in the treatment of dandruff.
Tar containing shampoos are also used for treatment of dandruff.

I had the same problem. I just changed to a shampoo for greasy hair, one with something like tea tree oil or similar and make sure I give it a good firm massage all over my scalp with my fingertips and it sorted it out.

you should wash your hair everyday for now until your flakes minimize... change your shampoo suave is a really generic brand so it doesn't help your hair at all.... try and use pantene pro v conditioner, and for now use pert plus..... everyday then a bit of pantene conditioner.... you will see the difference.
