My leg cramps can come as often as 3 or 4 times per week. The duration can last for as long as 10 mins. I'm not doin serious hard work out or anything that promotes the attack. And lately, chest cramps starts to occur. Is there a problem with my health?

The other suggestions given for supplements were good. I suggest you try a Jacuzzi several times a week to stop the muscle spasms. Also a qualified acupressure therapist could help you enormously to where you don't suffer from cramps or muscle spasms very often.

You should definitely find out the cause of these cramps before applying any of the aforementioned treatments, since under the wrong conditions they could be quite harmful. You don't want to increase your potassium intake in the event you have kidney disease, for example. To treat the occurrence of cramps, quinine sulfate is good, as is any liquid form of quinine(i.e. tonic water). You can take this if you have kidney disease until your doctor manages your symptoms for example

Our old family stand by was to drink pickle juice before going to bed at night.
Now I cut back on sugary foods, make sure I take calcium magnesium at night.

Sounds like you need Potassium Tablets. Rather you work out or not your body can dehydrate in your sleep. Drink plenty of water, juices & bananas. They are the highest potasium food around.

calcium and magnesium supplements for the leg cramps. not sure about the chest cramps. are you taking fatburners? if you are, this could be causing the symptoms

I suggest doing serum calcium and ionized calcium analysis, low calcium can be the cause.
