When they make a point, it is made correctly? Why is my interpretation of scripture twisted? Remember there are scholars from every religion who interpret the Bible differently..who is more Godly? Who is right? Who is twisting the gospels?

No one, as you say, can accurately interpret the bible fully, every one has their own thoughts on what a certain passage, chapter, or even a book could mean. People who most often make claims of another twisting the words of god are those who have grown up being taught a certain belief and feeling threatened, will defend their beliefs to the end, as they incorporate it in their lives.

First I want to apologize. !
Not all who read the scriptures is able to rightfully able to discern the scriptures in accordance to the absolute interpretations which they were intended.
Yes it is true that some do not interpret the scriptures the way they should. Many are ignorant and do not really know the word of God as God had intended.
Yes it is true that some scholars have studied the scriptures for many years and yet are not able to rightfully divide the truth of scripture.
But, . . . .however there as some that can and do and do so accurately.
I could go on and say that the one that does the interpretations is not of God. But then I would be judging them. So This I cannot do. However I know that for me as an individual I try to read the Bible and study it in the same way that my pastor has taught me. That is to make sure that whatever someone quotes to another, I must read the bible and see if it lines up with the Bible. Just because someone says something does not mean the it is true. it must be backed up via scripture. Yes on many occasions we find our own interpertations to be better than someone else's. However, . . . . It still must line up with the word of God. We will never know in some ways til we reach HIS Heavenly Kingdom, but we must be sure that we study the Bible just the same.
Remember, we are all human and therefore, are prone to make mistakes.
However to say the we intensionally twist the scriptures is getting a little harsh.
Again, . . . we are all human.
There is nothing wrong with putting the word of God to the test. Just make sure that it is done within that context.
I wish to make one thing perfectly clear, . . . .. . GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES. We do. !! I hope that I have helped you with this.

Usually because the comment in question is being taken out of context. If it is used in context things are a lot more difficult to pick apart, but people love to take the pieces they want to make fun of and use them in whatever context they want. I have yet to find a single arguement from a non believer that kept the words used in context.

Who is more godly? The Lord lets each of us know how we are doing with Him, we are not to judge the others, but if they are making a mistake, we should point it out. Not condem them for it, but let them know it's not right. If someone believes and is unknowingly breaking scripture, they should be corrected and shown where it says so by a friend 1 on 1, then by the same person and 2 witnesses, etc.

Who is right? The Lord is, everyone takes from the bible something different. Everyone has a different view point on what is in it, but they all agree on the universal truth that it is the word of God. Just as everyone has a different opinion on what happened in a car crash they saw, everyone will have a different take on something they read. It's part of being human.

Who is twisting the gospels? See my first point. Anyone who does that is trying to twist and intentionally invalidate it. The bible itself says anyone who tries to do that would be condemned and all the curses in it would be applied to them. Have fun. :)

Because they're being brats.

At least you're trying to interpret scripture for yourself. They generally don't--they just accept whatever the guru of their particular church says. If you look through what most Christians "believe", oddly enough, most of the ideas aren't original. They just think they're "interpreting" stuff because they don't remember what book or sermon or whatever they got their ideas from.

Ugh. Jesus was such a cool, groovy, loving, helpful guy. Why are so many "Christians" so far from the way he was? Why don't they strive to be like their "leader"?

It is fun to watch the Christians disagree with each other over the meaning this passage or that. They can't al be right, but they are certain everyone else is wrong. They are often wrong but never in doubt.

as it is all over the world who knows, who can rightly say what is, and what isnt ,whos beliefs are better than others and whos god, buddha or alla is better than the neighbor next door or down the road. i think its not about religion but it politics. these days i dont care much for anything churchy as they hound you as soon as your nice to them and then you have to be harsh to get them off your door step so who needs them.

I think many people twist it to make it say what they want it to. Christians themselves are particularly good at this.

Get a Grip....

So called Scriptures are nothing more than fairy tales, read in the 21st century by people of low intelligence.

Find another way to waste your time.

I think you have to take the verse in context-- You can't just read one verse and interpret it.... You need to read the verses before and after it. I think that is usually the problem.
