Where does it say in ;the Bible that a man CAN NOT have more than one wife? The law against polygamy notwithstanding where is there a Biblical prohibition? I am not interested in you opinion about what God intended or what the Neighbors preacher said. Give me chapter and verse saying a man CAN NOT have as many wives as he wants.

Come on Bible Thumpers.......can't you admit there is NO BIBLICAL prohibition against a man having as many wives as he wants.
Do add to and don't take a from is good enough.

To my knowledge it is not. Quite the contrary, there are several instances in the OT where polygamy is mentioned and even ordained of God.

"And He (Jesus) answered and said: "Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said , 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the TWO shall become ONE flesh'? Consequently they are no longer TWO but ONE flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." " (Matthew 19:4-6)
But if you question why God permitted this in other time periods, the answer is given in verse 8 of the same chapter: "because of your hardness of heart...but from the beginning it has not been this way."

God created Adam And Eve. Not Adam, Eve, Amanda and Catherine.
Anything other than what God intended is a perversion. God allows people to sin, that does not mean He approves it.

I think we should have at least 2 husbands. There's too much work to be done around the house! More than one man and do....

Don't get me wrong, I love my wife dearly but having been married for more than 27 years I would have to wonder why any man would want more than one wife.
