Apparently, the truth hurts too much!
So the only thing left to do is deny and insult it.

I am an atheist and I don't bash or insult anyone. I question and criticize, which is what any intellegent person should do.

I focus more on Christianity than other religions because I live in a Christian theocracy called the United States. That religion dominates our culture, and so it is what I criticize. Your question is like asking why the residents of Darfur never complain about sectarian violence in Iraq. Yes, it's horrible, but I have more immediate problems here.

However, more than half of the criticisms I have of Christianity are inconsistencies and unethical teachings in the old testiment. Therefore, when I criticize Christianity I also criticize Judaism. Since Islam is loosely based on the old and new testaments, it is also criticism of Islam.

I am an atheist. I don't bash or insult any religion, but I fail to understand how anyone can believe so absently in any religion (and that includes every religion). I believe that everyone has a right to, and I will NEVER make anyone feel bad for their religious beliefs. I will only defend my choice to abstain from believing should the issue arise. I think many religious people feel more persecuted than the atheists about this, believing that 100% of atheists will try to bash your beliefs, whereas most atheists will know that only a small percentage of the devout will openly harass them.
Don't be closed minded, an atheist can be just as supportive of your free choice as anyone else. Please return the favour.

You don't actually read the Muslim questions do you?

I'm getting really tired of seeing this question because I crank on the Muslims every day and so do bunches of atheists. But Christians are here a lot more often making idiots of themselves with questions like this, so maybe that's why you notice it more.

I got major problems with Islamists. But it was Christian fundamentalists that bombed the Federal Building in Oklahoma City. It was a Christian fundamentalist that bombed the Olympics and abortion clinics in Atlanta and Alabama. Its Christians that went around shooting family planning clinic doctors. It was good Baptist boys that dragged a gay teenager to death behind their pickup truck because god hates fags.

When I was a police chief in the eighties, of 1800 domestic terror groups being tracked by the FBI, fifteen hundred plus were some sort of group of Christian nutcases, and the Aryans were th emost dangerous. Today th emost dangerous domestic groups are probably the eco-terrirists.

Below is a document of all the websites of US hate groups. Count 'em . Visit them. Nearly all claim to be true Christians. Prove they aren't!

So you don't get a pass from me either, because a fundamentalist is the same whether Christian or Muslim: Hateful , stupid, immoral, certain anything they do is for god, and certain anything they do to anyone is deserved.

i am an atheist, i bash all religions, but Christians are the most hypocritical with all that nonsense about monotheism. They worship the father, the son, and the holy ghost (who was originally the mother from other religions but changed to holy ghost to lower the value of women in society.) They worship thousands of Saints, again polytheism. Plus there's the nonsense about fidelity when most Christian leaders have obvious sexual lives with lots of children. (i.e. the church pays for the first 4 children, but not the mistress). Then there's the nonsense about only those that claim Jesus Christ as their savior can get to heaven when there are people on this planet that have never heard of Jesus Christ. Then there's the part about blaming the Jews when the Romans nailed Jesus to the cross. This is distorted logic for clear anti antisemitism.
Christianity can be boiled down to one group hypnosis to worship the cross of death. Oh and of course Mary slept with Joseph, and Jesus slept with Mary Magdalene.

Probably because it is the largest religion and most deeply entrenched in society, at least in the US. If I was Jewish I would feel that I was going to be the next target, especially from the liberal anti-Israel sect.
They feel a kinship to religions like muslims who whine about persecution. The others are small enough to be basically ignored.

Daniel:
"... there's the part about blaming the Jews when the Romans nailed Jesus to the cross. This is distorted logic for clear anti antisemitism."
Wrong! Why the heck would we do that when Jesus himself was a Jew? He lived his life as one and was buried as one. The Jews are blamed not choosing Jesus as the prisoner to be let free. But as a Christian I have the highest respects for Jews. They may not believe that Jesus was the Messiah, but he is still important to them. I have never had ANY problem with a single one, reformed or orthodox. And what I have always found to be great is that the many I have spoken to did not mind when I asked them questions about their religion purely out of curiosity.

because Christianity is one of the most widely believed and practiced religion in the world. In the mind of an atheist, Christianity kind of represents religion as a whole. Also, devout christians preach the Bible which is considered one of the holiest books ever. people love to trash things that are considered "right" or holy. you can think of picking on the biggest religion as beating up the leader of a gang: once you beat the leader, there is no need to prove your power on the other members.

Well,I critique all of them, but I focus on Christianity because that's what I know.I grew up in a religious area. You can critique what you understand better. Also,I haven't had many personal interferences from many other religions, though when the time comes up,I critique.I have a Wiccan friend that I used to argue with all the time.

And the Muslims called and told you this?

It would seem to the world that the "Christian " nation is the one taking over and occupying other countries...

Atheists don't generally bash anyone. They simply don't believe that there is a God - Christian, Muslim, or otherwise.

Most of them were raised Christians. They were raised in families that were very devoted and probably try to ram religion down their throats! This is what gave them a bad impression of Christianity. They don't see a reason to insult Muslims or Hindus because they don't know anything about it. Is very popular to insult Christians, they think we are all conservative, loony bins.

Because society could seem to be controlled by Christians-why else would there be no other religious option in my small town, and it may even be assumed that my (non)disability is caused by not being a Christian, that is, taking benefit from nailing someone to a cross so I personally can go on?
