So over a month ago I broke up w/ my now exboyfriend. At the time I was confused as he was and I made his hopes higher by saying we'd still be friends.
Now its been a month and the kid is still trying to befriend me again. I really just want to stay away from him because I get really really really uncomfortable.
Even last night my friend and I went to a concert and he sat RIGHT behind me, wow, that was interesting. I feel so uncomfortable that I just wanted to get up and leave.
I know that I'm being really damn harsh about this whole thing because this kid is too nice.
Right now I have 1 best friend who truely understands me and the other 2 are very mad at me for treating him like this.
I just want them to understand and I just want to be LEFT ALONE!!!

Ugh! I know what you are going through-I've been there and done that. With guys who "don't get it" you have to be blunt. As hard is that can be, just tell him or he'll keep trying to be "friends".

It's your fault he is this way (you did tell him you wanted to be friends), so it's your problem to fix. You lied to him, so now you need to tell him the truth.
A girl should never tell a guy "that we can still be friends", as they take that to mean you still like them. Common female mistake which to this day is still being made....amazing. It's a lie (which women are masters of), so why did you tell him that? Try to be honest for once and it will work better.
Tell him the truth this time, that you don't want to be friends and to leave you alone. Yes you will hurt his feelings but that is much better than what you are currently doing - leading him on.

well i can definitly understand..some guys just don't get it.
If you want to let him down easy just tell him that right now it is just to hard to be friends and when the time is right you will come to him. And for your two friends sit down with them and explain your side off the situation to them and if they still don't like it then they may not really be on your side!

there is no better to for people to know how you feel unless youtell them. if you keep it inside then you will soon let them know by exploding. tell your friends how you feel and tell your ex that your still dealing with some emotional issues right now and just prefer to be left alone and need some distance from him!

I can understand your position, you feel uncomfortable with him, you have every right to feel that way. Just tell him that you want to be left alone. Your friends have to respect you position.

you shouldn't have said you just want to be friends. tell him since yall have dated in the past you can't go back to being just friends and need space.

You can let him know how you feel without being mean to the guy. If you are mean to people it will come back to bite you.
