Been there... felt that!
Keep yourself busy. Get together with a different friend each night. If you have family close by, go visit them for a night. If you have a dog, go on a long walk at the park. If you belong to a gym, go exercise and take your time. It's spring, do some spring cleaning and organizing.
What I try to do is keep myself as busy as I can throughout the day. This has two positive results... the day passes faster, and by the time I'm ready to go to bed I don't have to lay awake missing him because I pass out from exhaustion. Call him or e-mail him before you go to bed, if only to say goodnight. Call or text him in the morning to say good morning.
The days will pass quickly and he'll be home soon! :-)

Well, I actually am a bit of a couch potato. I watch all the "chick" shows that I know he hates, and just take time for myself. I have kids so I can't do too much alone, but we take in a matinee or go to luch. I also like to hit the library, take long baths, and the last day before he comes home.....I haul butt to clean the house spotless, and plan a sexy evening for the night he comes home. Most important thing is absence makes the heart grow fonder, so a little time away every now and then will make you appreciate what you have a little more!

My husband is the Army National Guard so he is frequently away. We just recently moved to an area where I don't really know anyone yet so I spend my time scrapbooking, watching movies "I" like, going for drives, cleaning the house, and have telephone conversations with my family and friends. Before we moved, I'd set aside that time to go out with my friends to eat or catch a movie. You can always go out with yourself to dinner or a movie as well (I've done that before too). I admit when he's gone for his 2 week trainings, I do get lonely if I don't occupy my time. If you don't have a hobby now's a great time to start. And since it's spring you can always go for walks in the park.

My fiance is gone this whole weekend and while that isnt exactly a week, i still feel your pain honey!
Tonight I am going to play Bingo with a few girlfriends of mine, and i might sneak out to the club for a short while (but probably not- the weather is chilly).
tomorrow I am going to be volunterring with my church at its annual Easter Egg Hunt for the community (i am running a games booth).
Sunday its church and then i am going home to fix him a great big dinner for when he got home.
Other than that- i would hang out on the computer, the phone, with girlfriends or sleep more... (amazing how much sleep you get with no hubby home to keep you up at night!)
It will be fine hon- just enjoy the few days and know that regardless if it is for 3 days or 7 it will always feel like that! But have fun and relax!!!

At the beginning of our marriage I was lonely when he was out of town.. 10 years later I enjoy the quiet, relaxation and me time..
He was recently out of town so I sent the kids to grandmas for the week and slept in late, at cake for dinner (no kids to set an example for), actually used the bathroom without company mid preformance, and lounged in the jacuzzi without company... I sure wonder when he is going out of town again maybe I should suggest another guys hunting weekend..
Don't get me wrong I enjoy the company of hubby and the kids but sometimes it's nice to be alone with no one else needing any of your time or energy..
Now what hunting season is nearing so I can put in for tags so he can go :)

Do the stuff you've always wanted to do, but never made the time for.
Try a new hobby - pottery, needlepoint, or skydiving.
Call up a friend, and go to a restaurant you've never been to.
Find a map of your area, and take a niece or nephew to a park that you've never been to before.
Plan a nice meal for your husband when he gets home, and then rock his socks off to welcome him back.

You just have to keep very busy. When my husband would be away, I had a kid at home, so at least that helped. Otherwise, just continue with your job, do some volunteer work, some spring cleaning, visit with your family, rent some chick flicks....
