It has been my experience that athiests generally are unaware of what the Bible and what God is all about. It is easier for them to blame than to take the time to actually study and investigate what God really is. so sad....

To start with, to even have a small amount of belief in the existence of a god would mean they are not the atheist that they claim. Exspectations have nothing to do with god and those who don't believe, a lot of atheists more so live their lives according to their own will and don't try and blame misfortunes like accidents at work, deaths in the family to anything but the cycle of life, that it occured because it was meant to, or just a simple accident.

Without any expectations or promises from anyone such as a priest, there can't be any let down in life. False hope is a real killer in my opinion.

I don't expect a thing from god, and that is what I have seen.

There is no evidence that there is a god. No evidence essentially means that someone made it up. It is not reasonable to believe in things without any evidence. You would be stuck with every ridiculous thing that human imagination could come up with.

Not believing in god is the same as not believing in Zeus, Odin, Santa, Anubis, the Tooth Faerie, and all the thousands of others since the evidence is exactly the same. I would be no less surprised if someone found evidence of Bacchus than I would be if they found evidence of your god.

I don't think an atheist has any expectations of God because they believe there is no God. How can there be expectations of something that doesn't exist?

Atheist don't believe in gods, why would they have expectations of god? do you know anything at all how an atheist thinks? I have my doubts.

There is no evidence a god exist, hence logically, there is no reason to think they do.

that's not what i think. there is no proof of any of the more than 2000 gods. proof of a man does not mean god exists. proof of a book does not mean god exists. the problem is all these uneducated people think that it does, when in fact it is horrendously illogical. when god flies down from heaven and i have credible witnesses to corroborate what i'm seeing then i may change what i think. religion and prayer are superstition.

That's an awfully broad generalization you're making there.

It's not about unfulfilled expectations, it's about PROOF of existence.

That's funny! I have no more expectations of any Gods than I do of Santas or fairies. And there's no "disproving"... there is only the absolute and total *lack* of any evidence to think otherwise (i.e. that he/she/it exists). It's the same, BTW, of *any* mythical or supernatural entities - do you believe in Odin or centaurs, for instance?

The concept of god disproves itself.
I have no expectations of god (see above sentence).

its not about unfullfilled expectations, its about lack of proof. Also about the human mind and burden of evidence. No matter what is proved or disproved in the world, religions just spin it to either say...oh that doesn't matter, or if it is proved the religious people say....AHAA! Proof!

LOVE is the biggest proof that GOD exists. Atheists just stopped loving I guess!
