It counts on what kind of puppy it is.I say a year.A puppy doesn't really need to start eating dog food at a special time.Just feed her dog and not puppy food when you feel you should.
Also on the side of the bag,it should have facts on when to start feeding a puppy growth up food.

Normally 18 months but depending on the breed it could be a up to 2 years. You should do some research on line about the breed of dog you got to make sure. I wouldn't start them on adult dog good until after 18 months.

I think that from 9mths she can have junior food but can have adult dog food form one year. It should give you the suitable age on the packaging if you buy a named brand. it is important that you give them the age appropriate food because it is vital for her growth.

I was always told 2 yrs old.
Experience with puppies tell me that it's true. They'll settle down, stop chewing everything, and become better trained around 2 years old.
