I find it is spiritually empowering to charge money for spiritual services such as psychic readings. Money is simply a form of exchange. Exchange for our time, training, and service is necessary and important, particularly in the society and age we live in.
Here’s my advice to help good psychics, tarot readers and astrologers to become professionals. http://www.psychic-junkie.com/psychic-jobs.html

They don't understand what it involves. Even if you cannot guarantee that what you're telling them is of any use or even that it comes from a true psychic source, it still uses energy!
I took a tarot class and have done free readings for people. I didn't feel right about charging, mainly because I was soliciting customers to help me practice. But also because I was unsure whether there was really anything truly psychic about it - when done by me.
However, it was still WORK. Partly because I'm not practiced, I have to look up a lot of linkages and card meanings, and that takes time. Putting thought into the reading also takes energy.
That's what people don't understand.
I refer of course to those who either KNOW or merely BELIEVE that they are actually doing something. Although even the out and out fakes deserve payment - even that takes effort!

There is nothing wrong with that. The problem is, most psychic or tarot reads who charge money, especially a big some, are just rip offs. People who do have some kind of psychic powers keep it quite.

If you are providing a valuable service and you have done your homework, i.e. studied the tarot, then there is nothing wrong with charging a reasonable fee.
Please incorporate a little work pro bono publico... what you send out comes back three-fold.
It may also be a good idea to ask the cards... Your best guidance may come from there.

If I understand correctly - you work from home doing readings for people in order to help them. You charge a fee. I don;t see anything wrong with that. As long as your fee is reasonable - which I assume that it is. You were given a gift and you are using it to help others. You also need to take care of yourself at the same time. You spend your time and your energy that should count for something. Try not to let negative people or their comments get you down or get you to second guess the work that you are doing. Good Luck.

There is nothing wrong with it, bible thumpers who have been brainwashed by their elders with bible "stories" will tell you it is wrong, but they are about as clueless as the next person.
Others will tell you you should not profit from your talents, they are just idiots and do not have any talent of their own to profit from therefore will bring others down.
I found a great psychic, her name is Anastacia and you can contact her at http://www.kasamba.com/Anastacia-of-the-Mountains
She is definitly showed me the true way, and maybe you should contact her too.

The Bible strongly condems the practice of spiritism ,mediums, occult, psychics, etc (Leviticus 20:27,Deuteronomy 18:10-13)
satan pretends to be kind and helpful. he tries to appear as something good . Satan and his demons will give a psychic information about a person , in order to get that person hooked into spiritism -something that GOD forbids .It appears innocent at first , but soon a person find himself addictive to psychics -allowing Satan to control and destroy their life .I Peter 5:8 proclaims ,"Be self-controlled and alert . your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour ." In most cases , the psychics themselves are likely deceived ,not knowing the true source of the info. they receive . what ever the case ,and wherever the source of the info. -nothing connected to spiritism ,witchcraft ,astrology, etc. is GODs intention for use as a means to discover info. how does GOD want us to discern his will for our life ? simple STUDY the Bible ( 2 Tim 3:16-17) and PRAY for WISDOM ( James 1:5)

Would you pick someone's pocket as they were walking past, or run a con on a tourist? Taking advantage of gullible people is wrong, no matter how you do it. The best I can say for you is that you are not pretending to be a medium, and taking advantage of grieving relatives. For your sake, as well as that of your clients, I pray you find another line of work.

Negative Mitzvah 31
You shall not predict the future by any method of divination
Deuteronomy 18:10 "There must not be found among you... one who practices divination"
This is a type of sorcery that uses a stick, belt, pebbles (or some other object) and then by tapping, measuring, throwing, or peeling the object, the individual claims he can predict the future.
It is forbidden to practice this type of sorcery. It is forbidden to practice this type of sorcery which is called "divination".

Because while you may be helping people, you may also be opening the door for evil spirits. If you are serious about wanting to help people, and are a believer in God, than please pray to Him... tell Him you want to help people, ask Him if these gifts of knowledge are given to you by his Holy Spirit or if they are of Satan... then request that if they are of Satan, that they leave you in an instant in Jesus' name.... and if they are from satan, you will no longer have powers and that will be your answer. ..and the Lord will forgive you if it was not your intention to be evil...He knows your heart. I will pray for you also.
