Screening might open the door to early medical decisions based on a proclivity to a disease or condition rather than actually having the condition. Screening would make it more likely that prospective parents would abort a child that is not exactly what they want (boy, girl, blue eyed ect..) Genetic screening may make it possible for health care companies to exclude someone for coverage (or have increased rates) based on genetic markers that make them susceptible to cancer or heart conditions or some other diseases. Just a few off the top of my head.

... and employers might not hire you because of health care costs. ... and poor security might be exploited by unscrupulous individuals to steal vast quantities of genetic flaw information like they steal vast quantities of credit card information.
