In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. John 1:1
God created us...(See Genesis 1 & 2)
Adam and Eve fell (See Genesis 3)
Jesus (God in the flesh) came to die on the cross for our sins (See Matt. 26-28 and John 17-20)
I hope that helps.
Peace be with you.

The problem you are having is that christianity is based on judaism which required animal sacrifices to atone for sins. Thus it was thought that god could not merely forgive Adam's original sin but that he would have to make a sacrifice first. When Jesus was crucified, this became known as the sacrifice which allowed god to forgive mankind. It's all rather confusing from the point of view of the 21st century.
Frankly, I have never seen the necessity for this. I also think that some christians and some christian religions focus too much on the suffering on the cross rather than the teachings of Jesus. I had a professor at Virginia Theological Seminary who insisted that a crucifix was a sure sign that the person hadn't gotten the message.

Yes, we did have a premortal exsistence. We lived with God before we were born & we will return to Him.
JER 1:4-5
4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

I'm not a believer, but I don't see how it could mean that. He could create us and love us. There is not reason to think we would have had to be around first. Also, it is oxymoronic to ssay we were around before he created us. We cannot be created before we were created; it just doesn't work. I think you meant to say we were around before God was created.

God always knew that He would create us. In one week, He made the entire universe. He then created humans (who sinned) and then thousands of years later, sent a Savior to save them from their sins. God was always here and He created humans .
God first
then humans

God didn't die for us. God is God, and can not die or be born, or in many cases do anything that we as humans can perceive. God has always existed, and will always exist.

God loved us enough to send his SON to die for us so that our sins could be forgiven.
Jesus was the firstborn creation of all creation. God created him, and he inturn helped in the creation of the earth and everything else.

It's referring to God making himself human (Jesus) so he could die and there were years and years before that-no matter which timeline there you follow.
