Did God the Father send a lying spirit, as he did in 1 Kings? Like Father, like Son?

John 7 - 8 You go to the Feast. I am not yet going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come." 9 Having said this, he stayed in Galilee. 10 However, after his brothers had left for the Feast, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.

(Please don't say that "his time" came after they left. By saying "However" and "but in secret" it is obvious that the text is telling us that Jesus was deceiving them.)

Look! Jesus was starting to make enemies looking for him for his teachings that troubles the Sanhedrin and the Parishees. Even the Pope this days must have some of his appointments outside the Vatican be held in secret because someone crazy out there is waiting to make trouble against him. I guess if you have bill collectors coming home and you have nothing to pay, would you not even think of how you can hide?
Granting he lied, did he make it at the expense of someone? Try looking for some more of the written passages that will be sensational than this pathetic thing you picked up.

Jesus' brothers were disbelievers. They wanted to make a big show of the miracles and signs Jesus was doing.
"John 7:6 Then Jesus said to them my time has not yet come ,but your time is always ready. 7 The world cannot hate you but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil. You go up to this feast I am not yet going up to this feast. For my time has not fully come. "
It was not time for him to die for us so he sent his brothers ahead and went secretly. So as not to be noticed. Doesn't sound like deception to me. He said I am not YET going!

He wanted to see how they behaved when he wasn't there, but obviously you are right in saying that he did in fact act deceitfully. Isn't that moral relativism? Didn't the pope just say that we are living "under the dictatorship of moral relativism"?
There are many far more glaring incidents of Jesus lying or behaving less than ethically.
