The EIC is federal, so living in IL is no different that living in any other state. If you have any earned income, then you're eligible unless you make more than the upper limit.

Sorry, Judy. Illinois has its own EIC; worksheet is on page 19 of the Illinois tax instructions. However, eligibility is basically "did you get federal EIC? yes, fill out the work sheet".
