I jump and push you out of harms way , and save your life! we become good buds but then you find out that I am one of your worst critics on R&S. Stays the same. I personally have many friends of many different religions and faiths - including Pagan and Atheist. However, although our beliefs are very different, we have managed to remain great friends for over 10 years. That's not to say we have not had heated discussions on the subject. But at the same time, we also maintain respect for the personal beliefs and path of the other. It is not my job to judge what someone else believes in. That is between them and God. All I can do is pray that God will open their hearts to His Word that they may be saved and join me in Heaven. We all know where each other stand but do not let it get in the way of our friendship.

Unfortunately, the more extremist believers tend to put a lot of burden and agression behind their faith. And although it is noble to try to get people to see your side of it, it is not our job to "push" a faith or belief on anyone else. That is when the problems begin to arrive. To punish someone else because of a personal belief is wrong. Only God has that say so.

It wouldn't change the friendship. In fact it would probably take it to a new level. I love a good debate. Seriously, I have a ton of non Christian friends. Many of them don't agree with me when it comes to religion, and we are still friends. Have been for years!!! God Bless!!

I do not need a life saving incident to lead me to befriend anyone who disagrees with me. As the sign above Esienhower's briefing room read during WWII: "there will be no non-compliance by silence", so I respect and appreciate reasoned and cogent disagreements.

That said, I do not suffer flippancy and polemics gladly.

We continue to be friends. We have many good animated discussions about out beliefs each trying to convict the other. Other people become involved in our discussions bringing even more controversey into the mix and we all become friends with different views. We remain friends.

I wouldn't need you to save my life to be my friend.

I have a great many friend not of my own faith. Pagans. Wiccans. Muslims. Buddhists. Atheists, Protestants...

We get along just fine.

The ones I like best are the ones I can debate with who don't get all nasty if we disagree.

So long as you aren't demeaning my viewpoint, and I don't demean yours, the friendship should be able to last. It should also make for interesting conversation as well. I have quite a few friends who are not Christian, and I still talk to them and try to learn about their religion, but it also pushes me to learn more about my own.

If you're a "worst critic" then you're not likely to be my friend to begin with, because you'd likely not like me anymore after a few times of me telling you that being judgemental of others based on a narrow pov isn't altruistic nor compassionate, and I can't condone it.

We would still be friends. That is what makes life interesting. You have people, friends & family that can have lively conversations. I would not want an aquaintence that agreed with me all the time, it is boring. Life is anything but boring.

Well, I'm not a Christian, I'm Asatru. Regardless I would not end a friendship on account of difference of opinion. That would be silly.
