Hon, nothing is free. Dog, pets, are expensive, and vets don't work for free........Short of any of us sending you $$$, charge it on your card, make a financial arrangement with your vet, or borrow some $$ from your friends. It is hardly fair for you to just sit there, pine away, and let her die................
Or give her up to the Humane Society, and don't adopt another pet (or have children) until you can afford it..............

I agree with April. A dog is an investment in many ways yet also requires the amount of care and responsibility as raising a child.

You are in your situation now, and yes, most Vets will work out a payment plan.

I can only imagine and fathom that if you can not afford a Vet for your dog when it is sick, that you may have skimped and not gotten his/her appropriate shots. This alone can invite illness.

If you are not prepared financially to take care of a Dog which comes with having one,.....then I would try to have it placed in another home for the sake of the dog.

I have 3 dogs, and besides the Purchase of each of my Dogs as Pups which total together was $1,300.00, I estimate my monthly costs for my Dogs in food, with their regular Vet visits and shots, Deworming/Heartworm Prevention, and Maintenance, (which doesn't include special visits or emergencies) is about $200.00 a month on a conservative estimate.

My Vet allows me to work out payments to fit my own schedule when emergencies come up, etc.

I wish you the Best, and I'm not saying you did not consider or have not done the things I shared. I just wanted to share them in case you haven't.

I learned there was a BIG difference in owning a Dog and being a Responsible Dog Owner.

Not sure where you live but the large chain pet stores often have low cost clinics every so often. My best advice is to call a vet and explain the situation. They may know of someone who can help. They may be able to help too by taking payments or giving treatment. Do you know what is wrong with the doggie?

It depends where you live - in England there are plenty of charities that will help, like the PDSA if you're on benefits

For the quickest answer, just phone your local vet - they will have numbers for suitable places.

Call your vet and see if you can work out a payment plan or they can suggest where you can get free help.

Most vets will make a payment plan agreement with you....

I had to do that with my hamster when it was sick.

I know I know, hamsters are $20 to replace but she was my baby!
