Try Biolage's Ultra-Hydrating Balm. I've been using it for years--nothing else makes hair as strong and smooth (my stylist can't even tell I use a hair straightener).

Frist Of All "Ease-Up" On The Things That Are "Damaging" Your Hair (Coloring/Perming/Relaxing/Hot Irons/Blow-Drying, ect.) Then Get A Good Shampoo And "Treatment" Conditioner (You Don't Rinse-Off "Treatment" Conditioners After Only 1 To 3 Minutes) Some Ones To Try Are: L'Oreal The Hair Fixer Or Ineral Optimal (Works Great! Found In Beauty Supplies) Matrix Biolage ForteThérapie Cera-Repair (Another Winner) Some Shampoos: Pantene Breakage Defense Or Matrix ForteThérapie Good Luck!

Hair, once it grows out of your head, is dead. It has no ability to regenerate itself so once it is damaged, it is damaged. The only way to get rid of the damage is to get rid of the hair - so start with a good cut. Then your challenge is to keep your "dead" hair looking as healthy as possible as it gets further and further away from the natural oils of your scalp. Here are some things to try to keep it in great condition:

Get regular trims to remove split ends. Avoid any chemical processing like color, perms, straighteners, etc. Avoid heat styling (blow dryers, curling irons, flat irons, etc.). Try not to wash it too much - it strips the natural oils from your hair every time you wash it. Condition every time you wash - light conditioner most days - maybe even a 2-in-1 with the conditioner in the shampoo (like Pantene 2-in-1). Use an occasional deep and/or leave-in conditioner, too - I like Pantene, and Wella's ColorPro line. Even No-More-Tangles is a good leave-in conditioner. Use an end conditioner (I like Wella - can be found in beauty supply stores but can be expensive - $17, + or -, for a very small bottle. Good thing you only need a few spritzes every time you wash!). Avoid hair clips, elastics, etc., that tangle and otherwise streatch and/or break your hair - scrunchies may not be the most stylish thing, but they are nice and gentle on your locks. Don't brush your hair while it's wet - it stretches the hairs and can break them. Use a pick or detangling comb, instead. Don't back-comb (i.e., rat) your hair, if you can help it. You are pushing the hair cuticle (the outer layer) the opposite direction from the way it likes to lay, which makes it less smooth, but then trying to get all those tangles out later can contribute to breakage, too.

Anyway, these are some ideas. Hope they help.

Good products to use on your hair are John Frieda Hair care products. Trust me, I use everything from the Brilliant Brunette line, and my hair has never looked better. The man is a Genius.

If that line is too pricey, try anything from the Aussie hair care line. They're pretty good, and each product is like 3 bucks, so you can't go wrong.

To repair your dry damaged hair, use his split end serum to keep the hair looking smooth ( use when you get out of the shower). Also, head to your salon and get a trim. Most likely your damage is split ends and the only way to remedy it is to cut them off. The sooner the better too, since split ends can crack all the way up the hair shaft, resulting in more hair cut off.

Most important: To keep hair healthy, Drink a ton of Water and eat a balanced diet ( I know you've heard this a thousand times, but trust me it's so true).

Hope I've helped.

You can't repair damaged hair, but you can add shine and stop more damage from taking place.

Shampoo's and conditioners that claim to 'heal' split ends and suchlike are lying. Once you have a split end, you have it. What you can try is cutting of each individual split end, which will take ages, but if you do it it in inslaments, it's ok.

I recommend VO5 Deep Vitality, Loreal Elvive and Sunsilk Brunette or Redhead etc. They add shine and give strengh to hair.

Also, straighteners, hair-dryers or curling tongs can damage your hair. Always spray heat protective spray and let it sink in before touching it with the heat source, before it gives a horrible burned smell. if possible, put the heat sorce on the lowest setting, to care for your hair.

But simply and possibly the most important thing is to keep hair healthy, drink eight glasses of water a day and eat a balanced diet.

Hope I've helped
xx

Condition, condition, condition. Use a name brand conditioner than spritz it with a leave in conditioner.

Keep your hair trimmed (no dead ends), avoid heat (curl or straightners) Keep your hair down, (some elastics can hurt your hair) brush it after being conditioned and braid it at night (less knots, less pulling out these knots, better hair) and no chemicals (no hair dye, bleach, perms, etc)

well first of all do not dye your hair it has bad effects, and can damage the hair, to treat dry hair you can use mosterising oils for your hair, and i'd say herbal essence is the best shampoo and conditioner around not only does it make your hair shine, but it makes your hair smell lovely!

when you blow dry your after it has completely dried use the cool air button on your dryer. If yours doesn't have one buy one that does they are not very inexpensive I paid like 10 for mine. This closed of the cuticles in your hair so that you don't expose them to more heat or wind etc.
When you rinse your conditioner use the coldest water you can stand this closes the cuticles and hold all of the conditioner in.
hope this helps

to repair, go with a good hot oil treatment, and follow it up with conditioning like crazy with a brand like biolage, or redken. a little more expensive, but well worth it. If you stick with one of those brands, you should be just fine!
