some one answered a question saying that the Bible came Before the Quran. The Torah came before the Bible. and the Quran historicaly shows where those that read the Torah and those That read the Quran crossed paths. so it is safe to say that the Bible did not come Before the Quran. And to draw attention to more facts, the Muslims are direct descendants of Ishmael the first son of Abraham. so it is possible that in Some Cases the Quran is more acurate then the Bible. why is it So bad for us Christians to get the part where we do not not know everything?

As I have said to many friends of mine, there is much evidence to the fact that there is not one convenant but two, the first covenant goes to the first born, Ishmael, and the second goes to Isaac, but the covenant of the law goes to Isaac due to the "lawful" union between Abram and His wife Sarai, who were by then called Abraham and Sarah it was around this time that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. Co-incidence? I think not! However, the way the books are stand thus:

(1)The Torah;
(2) The Noble Qur'an;
(3) The Bible.

As a side issue; "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand." ((Matthew 12:25) If the house of Abraham fights against itself, how does it hope to survive? A: When the Son of Man returns, and splits the mountain in two, so that the river of life flows from the mountain; only then shall the house of Abraham be reconciled.

The Quran wasn't created until 1400 years ago. The Bible is half OT (the Torah) and half NT. The OT began to be written around 3,000 years ago (but was orally retained before then) and the NT was finished by about 90 A.D. Muslims may be descendants of Ishmael, son of Abraham, but Abraham was the descendant of Noah, the only worshipper of the Judeo-Christian God at the time of the Flood, and therefore he and his family were the only ones saved.
The Koran borrows some things from Judaism, but goes off in a totally different direction that is not in accordance with the character of God.

God has revealed various Books at different times to guide mankind, such as the Torah, the Gospel and the Psalms given to Moses, Jesus and David. The Qur'an is the last holy book, or scripture; the Word of God, originally transmitted to Muhammad in Arabic by the Angel Gabriel. But it was always meant for all humanity, not for any exclusive group. At its heart is the teaching of monotheism -- the worship of One God and no others -- but the Qur'an also provides guidance for every part of a believer's life.

There is only one version of the Qur'an, unchanged since Muhammad received it. A number of his followers had carefully memorized each of God's revelations, word for word -- an achievement still common among Muslims today. Muslim scholars regard versions of the Qur'an in other languages to be interpretations or paraphrases, rather than true translations, and in Arabic literature there is no work whose eloquence, clarity and erudition approach that of the Qur'anic text.

Thinking that Ishmael was the one offered for sacrifice on Mount Moria is a serious Koran inaccuracy. It would certainly be interesting to compare accounts of stories of Joseph etc, although 98% of the heroes of faith in the Old Testament come from after Ishmael had left Abraham. They are from Isaac's line, so you'd expect Isaac's descendants to have the better picture, don't you think?
There are no heroes of faith in the Arab world until Mohammed, 2500 years after Abraham and Ishmael. He might have some interesting tales regarding Abraham's life in the Koran. Either from Jewish-adhering tribes, or from some incredibly long oral tradition.

Actually, if you read the history of Islam, the way Mohammad heard about the Bible was though traveling caravaners who would travel through his area spreading the word. As he lived after Jesus, he did hear both the new and old testaments.

(not to say one book is better than the other)

Islam recognize all others religion and Muslims believes in all prophets and all books revealed by God.Muslim has more chance to have right because they do not ignore others and in Koran you find many words speaking about Moses and Jesus and others prophets with very beautiful words.people get corrupted by life style and hunger of life and surely the truth 'll be hated and ignored by them ,they chose this life and real Muslims chose the other one.

"so it is safe to say that the Bible did not come Before the Quran."

What are you talking about? This doesn't make any sense. Open a history book and read.

And I'm a direct descendant of Thorvald Magnusson. So.....the Havamal, the Voluspa and the Eddas are more accurate than the Q'uran, the Bible AND the Torah? Does the fact I am descended from Thorvald Magnusson, and this is undsiputed, make my belief system any more valid than anyone else's belief system?

Muslims aren't descendants of Ishmael, Arabs are and before Islam Arabs were pagans as I recall (not that, that has changed since that is exactly what Islam is a mixture of a monotheistic religion and paganism.)

I have to give the Buddhists a 10-point spread in the finals.
Vegas is with me on this and Atlantic City gives them a solid 11.
